Arizona Election Audit

Imagine being OK with irregularities in our voting system. Some of you deserve the life of a Venezuelan
What irregularities? There have already been recounts in Arizona, with oversight from Republican officials, which did not turn up any discrepancies, fraud or irregularities.

Imagine accusing Democrats of being sore losers for four years... but then becoming one yourself after the very next election. That is the life of Trump.

It’s much more than just the election. The majority of media outlets are liberal mouthpieces. Stating the truth doesn’t necessarily make one a victim.

Remember that the comment I was replying to was this:

Correct, if a Democrat president secured this treaty it would be treated as epic, that president would walk on water.

It's belly aching like this that goes way beyond the "liberal media" that dilutes what may have been a valid point about a biased media (for example.) It's as mind numbing as blaming the "deep state" or a pedo infested libtard cabal. When one cries about every little thing and plays the victim, no body cares when your cries of an actual wolf go unnoticed.

By the way, and as a side point - the right has it's share of media mouthpieces as well. The left doesn't own that monopoly.

Nothing will happen to Biden, but the next election will be much more legit.
There is no evidence that the outcome of the 2020 election wasn't legitimate.

None other than William Barr concluded that no evidence of systemic voter fraud, significant enough in nature to have altered the outcome of the 2020 presidential election has been identified and that was following an unprecedented level of scrutiny from Republicans.

Were you one of those fighting like hell in support of "Russian election interference" and The Mueller investigation?

This is a false equivalency. There have already been multiple recounts performed by election officials in Arizona under the purview of a Republican Governor and a Republican Secretary of State. Another recount over 3 months after the winning candidate has already taken office has never happened in the United States before. It's hard not to get the feeling that Republicans in the Arizona state legislature are going to keep this process going until they get the results they like... and they are not above falsifying their data to arrive at their desired vote count.

Is that a "yes you were one of those people" answer to my question?

What does that mean?
Being against an audit because "it wouldn't matter any way" is short sighted. As a citizen, I would like as many audits as possible. Helps limit fraud, helps bring to light part of the system that may have weaknesses, etc. It doesn't mean there's a boogeyman behind it. Could be just simple error or loopholes.

Have you given thought to who you put more faith in to conduct an audit? Do you want the opposition party, a bipartisan commission, or an independent third party to conduct the audit? And who do you want to collate and disseminate the results?

Alright, I just didn't get the wording. Mark my words, there will never be an election without irregularities of some sort. That's an impossible ask, so we all better be OK with them.

Well, of course nothing will come from it. This is all about political posturing from the GOP's Arizona state legislature.

Even if you do concede both Arizona and Georgia to Donald Trump, what does that do to the 2020 Electoral College Map? Joe Biden still wins with 279 electoral college votes to 259 for Donald Trump. I wonder how many Trump supporters who are posting to this thread even realize that? I would bet that none of you do.
Except what's uncovered in Arizona, could probably also be discovered as fact in MI, GA, PA and other states

That's a great question. Seems like independent third parties don't really exist anymore. Makes it difficult doesn't it? You'd have to go in with not just good faith actors as the auditors but also the people that CAN do something about it. Do we have confidence that Rs or Ds would have the humility to admit when they benefit and that it needs to be fixed? Do we have confidence that citizens would have that humility? Idk anymore.

In a perfect world, third party is best. In this world, I guess it would have to be in the form of a suit and available to everyone. It's seeped into being a culture problem too, Imo. Too many people are amongst history's most privileged and they are too arrogant to believe oppression can easily happen to them.

I don't disagree but I don't think that invalidates the effort to minimize the review of potential weaknesses and the effort to fix them.

Doubtful... unless the same people with the same agenda are performing the recount.

Also, the margins of victory for Biden in Pennsylvania and Michigan were much higher. Biden won PA by over 80,000 votes and Michigan by over 150,000 votes. This is a pathetic and pointless exercise to placate the ego of a sore loser.

The political establishment (both parties) cannot, I repeat cannot allow a major voting scandal so it doesn't matter who does the audit. Once what little faith left in our electoral process is lost the establishment is done and they won't allow that.

This is nothing more than political theater.

If anyone still has faith in the electoral process at this point, they're morons.

My point was if Democrats (the left) had secured this treaty it would be touted as epic. It would be considered a keystone accomplishment.

I do believe it would have been the lead story on nightly news but who watches them anyway. Everyone watches the cable networks or social media.

Why all the whining about an audit then. Why would you be opposed to a complete audit if you're so sure of this?
Because of who has been hired to conduct this latest "audit". The Republicans in the Arizona state legislature hired a Florida company called "Cyber Ninjas Inc.". The Chief Executive of this firm is a man named Doug Logan, who has actively promoted conspiracy theories about election fraud on multiple platforms - and in doing so, revealed his own personal agenda regarding this audit. He has skin in the game, and is anything but objective.
