That's a great question. Seems like independent third parties don't really exist anymore. Makes it difficult doesn't it? You'd have to go in with not just good faith actors as the auditors but also the people that CAN do something about it. Do we have confidence that Rs or Ds would have the humility to admit when they benefit and that it needs to be fixed? Do we have confidence that citizens would have that humility? Idk anymore.
In a perfect world, third party is best. In this world, I guess it would have to be in the form of a suit and available to everyone. It's seeped into being a culture problem too, Imo. Too many people are amongst history's most privileged and they are too arrogant to believe oppression can easily happen to them.
I am extremely cynical when it comes to our politicians, government, and media. So, my question to you is my question to myself. I agree a lot with what you've shared. Even if something was discovered by a completely independent third party, i don't trust the media to bring the data to the public without bias.
