No offense to Arion, but he’s not even close to being a day one pic. I’d say he could get a pretty competitive NIL to what he’s gonna get with an NFL deal and have a chance to really increase the stock.Pete Thamel on X: "NEWS: Tennessee junior linebacker Arion Carter has declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. He led the Vols in tackles with 76 and led the SEC in tackles per game with 7.6." / X https://share.google/zY30jSqFhbDbOzFDH
I believe he will stick. At the very minimum a team will get him on the cheap and develop him on the practice squad or as a backup. He'll start sooner or later. Good luck Arion. No offense to Arion, but he’s not even close to being a day one pic. But he didnt even have a very good year. What are NFL teams even looking at? It still kind of blows my mind that McCoy didnt play a single down this year and he's a projected 1st rounder. And they should. AC has already dealt with injuries. If he has a serious one next season with the Vols, his NFL future could go poof.
Led the SEC in tackles per game and 2nd team coaches poll. Also tied P4 high with 17 tackles at Ms st and we needed all of them. Lots of people call that a good year. But he didnt even have a very good year. What are NFL teams even looking at? Always feels that way when coveted croots play as true freshman then leave early for the NFL.I expected he would be gone after his junior year, and yet his time here feels so short.
