Pete Thamel on X: "NEWS: Tennessee junior linebacker Arion Carter has declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. He led the Vols in tackles with 76 and led the SEC in tackles per game with 7.6." / X https://share.google/zY30jSqFhbDbOzFDH
No offense to Arion, but he’s not even close to being a day one pic. I’d say he could get a pretty competitive NIL to what he’s gonna get with an NFL deal and have a chance to really increase the stock.

It's all about shortening the window to the second contract in the Pro's

I believe he will stick. At the very minimum a team will get him on the cheap and develop him on the practice squad or as a backup. He'll start sooner or later. Good luck Arion.

And they should. AC has already dealt with injuries. If he has a serious one next season with the Vols, his NFL future could go poof.
But he didnt even have a very good year. What are NFL teams even looking at? It still kind of blows my mind that McCoy didnt play a single down this year and he's a projected 1st rounder.

Very athletic, not great instincts or very well coached. Hope he does well in NFL. Nothing is more common than unfulfilled potential.

We have recruited well the last two years at LB. Now they just need to get coached up and developed. Hopefully Knowles is that guy.

Led the SEC in tackles per game and 2nd team coaches poll. Also tied P4 high with 17 tackles at Ms st and we needed all of them. Lots of people call that a good year.

Good luck to AC, hope he kills it at the next level. He was all Vol, but I never saw the things that everyone else saw apparently. Just Ok in my book.

Looking forward to Perlotte, and more dynamic play at the position.

Good luck AC. I think he’s getting some bad advice somewhere. But got to make the money while you can. Probably a 4th rounder or later is my guess. But thanks for wearing the orange.

I feel like he's still somewhat of a work in process and just now coming into his own at the college level.

I expected he would be gone after his junior year, and yet his time here feels so short.
Always feels that way when coveted croots play as true freshman then leave early for the NFL.

We didn't spend a year in anticipation hopeful that he'd perform to expectations. Liike most true freshmen he was green, but we knew we had a gem.
