Arian Foster

arian fumbled in this game, cory was the one who fumbled through the endzone

Arian fumbled at the goal line in the South Carolina game. For the record, Cory Anderson was holding the ball pretty securely in that Bama game. I think Roman Harper just made a great hit and knocked it out. Arian Foster has been criticized since his arrival for carrying the ball away from his body like a loaf of bread. That being said, our offense still should have put up more than 10 points. We also should have forced at least one turnover from a terrible QB like Morelli. You can't blame everything on Arian.

Also, you can't blame all of the Bama loss on Cory. Remember, Gerald Riggs got us down to about the 3 yard line, on a play that broke his ankle. Afterwards, two consecutive offensive penalties made it first and 20 something to the goal instead of first and and goal, three to go. Thus, the need for Cory to be a receiver can be blamed on others. Everybody on the team loses a game, not one guy.

But you've still got no excuse coughing up the rock that close to the goal line. As a player, you put that on yourself.

I'm sure both of those guys took those mistakes very hard. That being said, Meachem dropped a 50 yard pass yesterday that hit him right in the chest. Plenty of guys didn't execute properly yesterday. You can't blame Foster for everything. Do you really think that guys like Hefney are sitting at home thinking, "We all played so awesome yesterday. If not for Foster, we'd have gotten the win we deserved." No UT player thinks that. None of them played well enough to feel that they got something that they didn't deserve (except maybe Coker, but he hardly played and he should've taken care of stuff off the field).

I suppose. Meach's catch was much easier on me because there was offensive pass interference anyway.

It still showed a lack of concentration and focus. And he is clearly our best player. I think that shows how well the coaches prepared our Vols for this game.

Yep. He pushed off and the catch/TD would have been called back anyhow. Still hard to watch him drop a pass he normally catches whether he pushed off or not.

Yeah, but if you guys have ever played receiver you know its hard to catch every single ball, you have to watch your footing, level your eyes and catch the tip of the ball. That's extremely difficult in about 3 defenders.

I never played running back, but I know that even the best ones fumble occasionally.

I played RB too and the coach always took us out of the game if we ever ran into that gap with one hand off the ball. When you are running into the line you use both hands and then you can put it in your outter hand when you bounce it out to the sideline.

Your coach probably provided you with better instruction than the guys guiding Foster.

All joking aside, you know that he knew he should have had both hands on it.

I'm not joking. I think many of our players get better coaching in high school than they do here. Look how many players get worse the longer they stay at UT. All of our wide receivers before Troop took over come to mind.

I dont blame any individual player with yesterdays loss. The whole team played sloppy .. you can expect some mistakes in a game but but not as many as happend though.

You know what, I blame CHAVIS more than I blame Fulmer. CHAVIS has led the defense into being mediocore not Fulmer. Our defense SUCKED today

Yeah, I totally agree with you. How dare Chavis' defense give up 13 points and expect to win!

You know as well as I do that you can't compare playing football at podunk high to playing football in the SEC.

Foster though is wild with the ball, he always has been. Sanders said the main reason he was passed on by a lot of schools is how wild he was with the ball. They've been trying to get him to fix that since his freshman year.
