I think the majority of people on here are not blaming either of those two. It's FULMER we are all blaming and FULMER we are sick of, because this stuff is never gonna end with him!

You know what, I blame CHAVIS more than I blame Fulmer. CHAVIS has led the defense into being mediocore not Fulmer. Our defense SUCKED today. Even when they knew they were running the ball, CHAVIS only put 4 men on the line of scrimmage and had 3 LBs set 3 yards back and play Zone Run defense. So blame CHAVIS not Fulmer. Fulmer can recruit, OTHERWISE we fire him 4 years ago.

What really pissed me off is that we left with 2 TO's left in our pocket. Granted the game was about over cause our D couldent get a stop but why take them with you????

Either way, our defense gave up 1, ONE, UNO, touchdown to Penn State today. Our defense and Chavis were not to blame for this loss.

Agreed. :lolabove:

3 turnover were they problem. They scored exactly 7 points on our defense when we didn't turn it over in their territory.

Nice thought, but I think these players need to accept responsibility when they cause the team to win or lose. It comes with maturity. That fumble was all the extra points PSU needed to win that game.

Actions and consequences, you fumble you could lose the game for your team. If they emphasized that more, maybe it would have an affect on their play.

They are more than you may think... Penn State's offense is bad... And we let them control the clock... We just got lucky with missed field goals... They prevented our offense from getting more time...

i dunno....we had momentum up until the fumble. a TD/fg there and a whole woulda been GAME OVER.

Good defenses force turnovers. Penn State has a good defense.

When playing a team that plays a Zone coverage as good as Penn St., throwing over the middle is playing with fire. They knew Anige was eyeing that area for most of the game.

I think that Bret Smith could have been a huge help finding holes in that zone.

I meant there was obviously a disciplinary reason behind his lack of playing time.

it was either that or they were't liking the way Coker was getting caught in the backfield. after that long run he had several plays where he was dropped behind the line of scrimmage.

Roper more like it..should have played coker
Its seems to me with Coker that "we have parts for a Porsche but cant get out of the station wagon mode". That don't know how or when to use him. I just don't think he is a between-the-tackles type runner.....yet.

I don't either. He can run between the tackles on occasion, but he's clearly at his best running around the line. They should have tried him to the outside.

I think next year Coker should be used like USC used Bush. He is obviously the best player on the field.

 And also line him up in the back field then shift him to slot using mix match on a LB. From what the coaching staff says he has good hands.
Whoa, think about that Coker in the slot Meach (if he stays) as #1 reciever and Q. Hancock on the other side scary........:eek:hmy:

i understood that coker had some minor academic problems that limited his play in the 1st half, but don't know after that why he didn't play more, other than i've heard he's still so young he struggles w/ pass blocking, which we obviously needed today. roper gets 'em ready, but I'm not sure he sends 'em in does he? wouldn't that be fulmer and cut's call?
