He had a good Fr. and Jr. year. Soph and Sr. were nothing to write home about. For my taste he went side to side too much and somehow seemingly managed to run out of bounds every time he touched the ball. When UT was backed against it's own goal, it was Hardesty that got the nod because of this.
Look at Foster now compared to when he was at UT. He's much leaner and faster. He's still a load, can catch the ball, and has learned to hang on to it.
I turned a whole conversation of an app into a fight about Foster. Lol. Sorry. Didn't mean to stir up something.
Anyways...I decided to download the app. I used the "Race Me" feature and I think I pulled a hamstring I ran so hard. Talk about bad timing. I think I can beat his 40 time!
For a 4 year player, sure.
Look at Charlie Garner's stats. If he were here for 4 years, he would easily have it.
Had to have been the SLOWEST back we've had in a long time and definitely was the slowest in the SEC during his time. And don't get me started on the fumbles... I will say he lost about 15-20 pounds since he left UT and is faster now because of it so I commend him on that. But yeah I was pretty glad to see him go.
This! My point exactly. Foster had 650 carries for 2,964 yards. That's 4.6 yards per carry. For comparison Travis Henry only had 556 carries for 3,078 yards @ 5.5 yards per carry. James Stewart only had 531 carries for 2,890 @ 5.4 yards a carry. Charlie Garner only had 313 carries for 2,089 yards @ 6.7 yards a carry! If you give those guys another 100 or more carries Foster isn't close to the top!
He should be the all-time leading rusher at UT.
Damn Clawfense.
