Are you buying it yet?

Does anyone see UT scoring more than 10 points against Auburn, just askin?
Not unless the defense put up some points. What we've saw of this offense won't stress their defense enough to make them play honest. They'll load up and come after the QB..

Weve been ran over by every team that matters. Our lines got pushed around by much weaker teams. We have no individual standout players. While our defense somehow appears okay, we are awful at fundamentals like tackling, our offensive game plan seems to be we suck and we know it so.we will just punt.

The consesus of "real fans" seems to be that our coaching staff does not possess the ability to get the most out of a player unless he is a 5 star all american and that no player on our team would get an offer from any other d1 school.

Whats the clear indication that we are headed in the right directions? Is a quarter of "fight" enough to be a clear indication?
Real fans???? Your consensus is full of it, quit basing your consensus on message board fodder. To say this staff can't coach up talent after 5 games is just flat out stupid. Some real fans can see progress in certain areas, our biggest problem is the OL, and the LOS is where the big wheel turns everything else. Some fans can't seem to understand until the LOS starts improving the offense will struggle no matter what if we run or pass. When SEC defenses don't respect your ability to run everything else is problematic. We will continue to improve, it may be a slow process but it's way to early for some so called "Real Fans" to say this staff can't coach up players. In some cases some of these players may have a limited ceiling. It's funny some of the same downers of the program that said we were going to be terrible this year now act like it's the coaches fault. I see gradual improvement and hopefully things will continue to improve more and more as the season goes on. Auburn will be another big test to see where we are at. Of course Bama will be a severe test but after that game if we get through the next 2 without many or any significant injuries we have a chance to see how we respond down the stretch with games that are winnable and we should compete well in. I still say we have a legit shot to win 6, it won't be easy but I think we are capable. Now everyone go ahead with the stupid and ignorant post if your must, I have been a fan more than most of you have been alive I venture to guess. This staff will turn this program around, it may take another couple of years to get us competing for the east, but I think we will see continued improvement. GBO!!!!!

yeah, i think that's the big fear here. you look at auburn and see the issues.

not sure if we can do anything to take advantage of them.

gonna need a really good start to the game regardless, and i don't know that we need to score on defense or ST, but we definitely need some big plays from both, and Auburn to help us out a little bit....penalties, turnovers etc....

just hope they come out uninspired, frustrated and just kinda flat for an 11 a.m. game against a team everyone thinks they should beat...and beat pretty badly.

Yeah. I don't know what to make of that game. I could see us getting boat raced or a close loss. I have a tough time seeing any sort of upset there. Our best chance of ending this dreadful SEC streak is the back half of the schedule, like most thought to begin with..

Do you believe that Fitzgerald and Gurantano are equal . wow... Fitzgerald is actually a dual threat. He will get drafted first 3 rounds. He was the big difference maker in the Auburn game. I hope JG duplicates Fitzgeralds numbers but will not hold my breath. I haven't seen JG evade a rusher or a tackle all year. Guess we were spoiled with Dobbs but JG's first couple step are on par with Clausen, Worley and Simms he has no fast twitch that the good one's have instinctively.
No, but the team as a whole

He is a great running QB, below average as a passer. He is not getting drafted in the 3rd, he may not get drafted at all.

I have a feeling this is going to be a real slopfest on both sides. It's like a catfight between two bipolars....

For the 3rd straight week, AU doesn’t garner 100 yards on the ground and giving up an astounding 353 yards rushing to Miss St, a team whose offense has been nonexistent. Last three games and ypc is still way down and just over 3 ypc for the year against P5 teams.

Follow the layout that LSU has set and follow MSU’s layout of offense, TN wins Saturday and the wheels fall off (two already have) of Auburn. Can’t help their recruiting either...
Keep dreaming. We are not good enough to beat Auburn

You could have made the same argument for Florida's offense before they came to Neyland and SLAUGHTERED us. Auburn may have been overhyped as a team, but UT is beyond worse than anyone could have imagined. Nobody expected UT to have a good year. But not many expected them to potentially do worse than last year which is entirely within view of reality now.

Don't worry, those issues will be corrected this week. Their DL will look like a solid brick wall that Helton will continuously calls HB iso's into all night and their offense will improve leaps and bounds when their OL opens up gaping holes and their running backs will use a new ground breaking move call the cutback.

Dumb***

You can't blame anyone for being totally pessimistic leading up to this game. If you had told me the day after the WV game that we would score 30 and beat AU straight up with Stidham at QB , I would have called you a delusional nutcase.
