Whatever. I'm giving up on preorders. Why can't Apple just sell me the phone without adding a new data plan? I'm sure AT&T is backed up now, my store said 14-21 days for delivery.

I'll just wait with the rest of the idiots who didn't preorder early enough. Not gonna lose my unlimited.

When u get to checkout it just says data plan & that's it if you had unlimited data. I know it says you have to change it but the default is unlimited if you already had it. I ran it another way by changing the data plan & went back to checkout, in another box it said if I change from unlimited data it may not be available in the future. I cancelled & started over. Price should show up the same. Mine actually had a 20% service discount so I get unlimited for $24 now.

Man this sucks...I don't have the iPhone unlimited plan anymore because I swithced to an HTC in Sept. and it took me to the Smartphone Personal unlimited and it won't let me delete it and go back to iPhone $30 which is shown as an option.

What is the default it gives you at checkout right before you enter your info. Does it just say data plan & $30 or does it get specific? I thought u had a 3GS?

That sucks, but its not the end of the world imo. I am always using my data on my phone for streaming and pandora and I have yet to go over 2GB of data in a single month.

ATandT wants to slap a 549.00 fee for me to upgrade my IPHONE4 to 4S. Rest of the phones on my plan is just 299.00 to upgrade to the 4S 32GB.

No way I could've ordered it from Apple. It doesn't recognize my Unlimited plan. AT&T does show it but I'm not waiting 2+ weeks for it to delivery when I can just tough it out for one morning.

The weird thing is, my sister's unlimited shows on Apple. I think it's because we did the unlimited data trick (where you put sim in 1st iPhone and do $20 unlimited) and then the store recognizes it and updates to current $30 iPhone plan (she went straight to the 4). I had gotten to HTC Infuse for like 1 week and I think it switched me to Unlimited Smartphone data.

I called AT&T rep, said only way to keep it is to direct order from their site or come in Friday to get it. I gotta keep my unlimited. I use Pandora in my car way too much. It'll run up my costs within 3weeks.

Where are you in your contract, like how many years? And when did you upgrade last to get the 4?

Geez... I have no need or desire to navigate through all of this chaos today. It just seems like a lot of trouble just to be the first one on the block with the new iPhone. What's the matter with just waiting a few days/weeks?

Weird thing is, online for my current features it shows IPhone unlimited data as an option yet it won't let me delete "Smartphone Personal Unlimited". I think if I got it to change I could order through Apple and keep unlimited. Honestly, it's just not worth the time.

You could order through Apple right now, no problem at all. If you have 200mb, 2gb data, and get it by Friday.

I guess I'm saying I'm not in that big of a hurry to drop $400 on a phone that was just announced on Tuesday. I need to do a bit more research before I make a move like that.

Ok so I got everything figured out. I went to AT&T and apparently my unlimited data plan wasn't for iPhone. It was the standard smartphone plan. They didn't switch it back after I traded in the HTC. So I got that fixed, went home and preordered the 4S on Apple and it showed the Unlimited data option. Woohoo, now I don't have to stand in line for hours!

I'm leaning towards the 64GB model. That is why I said $400. Of course, it also depends on how this iCloud stuff could benefit me. I may not need to get 64GB.

I need more time to do my homework.

I think 64Gb is too much IMO, unless you plan on adding loads of music or putting videos on it. Wish I could've gotten the 32Gb but didn't have enough money. I'm not going to put a lot of music on

I pre-ordered the 64GB since I figure the 8MP camera and 1080p video will eat up space quickly. That said, I currently have a 32GB iphone 4 and I haven't come close to filling it up.

Yea 64 is a lot & 32 should be plenty. I have a 16 now with a little over 10 left so I went with the 16 again.
