Recognizing the difference in teams/programs as a fan and what's gonna happen next Thursday in our game with Appy State just is what it is. Appy State has no chance to win and very little to no chance to keep the game close.....just figured I'd point that out for the Appy state fan who seems to think otherwise. Hopefully you took note as well.

What App fan on this board thinks this is going to be close? What i read was a couple App fans saying they had a good team and would give it all they had. It's this insecure fan base that keeps screaming about a blowout. But I guess since Tennessee has been waiting "until next year" for forever, I would be sensitive as well.

Gotta love it when a fan of another teams comes on our boards, starts talking trash, doesn't get a warm reception because of it, and then puts us down because of it.

WTF are you even talking about? You are the one that came on to a UT Football forum. You know, the team that is favored to win by what 21-23 pts right now. Did you not expect to see people talking about blow outs?

I haven't seen (maybe I missed it) anything but respect on this board for the App State football program. That doesn't change the fact that this should not even be a close game. Vegas doesn't work that way. They don't set lines thinking they are going to lose. 50 point leads are blow outs.....guess what....so is 21 points.

Are some people on here going to be asses about it. Absolutely. But it is a UT forum. You should have expected that before you ever came in.

Personally. I've got nothing but mad respect for App State. The team, the coach, the school, the fans are all cool in my eyes. That does not change the fact that this should and probably will be a blow out. Could it be different? Sure. Should UT fans be expecting it enough to be discussing it? Hell no.

Thanks for the respect for App's program. We have come a long way from being a tiny school with a decent tiny school program to being a mid-major school with a decent mid-major program. It's been fun to be part of that journey. Although I know some of our fans have seen the move to FBS as the equivalent of moving from small school to large school, I do not share that same opinion. We've still got miles to go.

Personally, I will usually visit opposing team message boards to learn more about the teams App is going to play. It's much more fun (for me anyway) to watch a game when I have a better sense beforehand of what others perceive as the strengths and weaknesses of their own team.

Vegas is about making money. They set the lines at whatever break point they think will bring in the most betting dollars. I've never taken any stock in Vegas lines. That said, there's no way that a pre-season Top 10 Tennessee should be anything other than a heavy favorite to win this game.

See y'all in Knoxville. Only 8 days until our beloved football returns!

If we're a playoff contender we should put up a score similar to what Clemson did to them last year. If we do the hype will grow. If not the break pumpers will be in full force.
