Goodness. I'm reading one of their threads and some of them are bragging about their 35k sell out home game against Miami.

Ironically, that's probably more than Miami home games nowadays.

Moving up to FBS you got to start somewhere.Thats more than a Vandy game. Hope App loses by about 28 or less to the Vols.Shock Miami in Boone and win the rest of their games.Go 11-1 and make a new years six bowl.

I realize it was a different time and team, but North Texas State brought their little team to Knoxville and the rest is history. The game is not played on paper :}:}:}:}. I'm sure Butch will have his guys ready for everyone on our schedule this year. No surprises :}:}:}.

This. I have no problems with App State, I know quite a few people who went there. They've got a good football program for their size, a great ski program and a great weed program. Boone and Blowing Rock are awesome.

I don't believe for a second App is on TN's 2nd-3rd string players levels and this should be an overmatch from the word go. They are not Austin Peay though.

They have players to pose threats to decent teams. I believe their D will be decent and they have a solid QB and RB. If their Oline is as good as predicted and stays healthy (not much depth) then they could present a challenge for better than decent teams.

Idc how good a QB is though, if he is under relentless pressure he will look like me trying to play QB. That's what happened vs Clemson last year and that's what will happen vs the Vols. Lots of pressure and not enough time to show what Lamb can do other than how to wear a very dirty uniform.

UT will completely over power their D as well. They are a lot better than your avg cupcake but even with UT being very bland on its play calls we will steadily pull away from them as the game goes on.

Sept 1st needs to hurry and get here, I can't hold KB back much longer. He done snatched his shirt off and ready to punch somebody!!!

No, there's no "likely beat App". We're gonna beat the hell out of you. Good luck the rest of the season, but Tennessee will beat the snot out of Appy State and then whip their ass for having a runny nose on September 1. And it's your little rag tag bunch who will be limping out of Neyland and counting it's wounded after the game....while the Vols begin preparing to play some big boy football the following week in Bristol. The only thing Appy State fans need to be doing is be thankful for the big payday, take their ass whipping like men and stfu.

If only you had this attitude with Florida. like it should be.

...and North Texas State was the demise of Coach Bill Battle. CBJ understanding history and importance of it to programs, probably knows this better than most ... lol ... he better at any rate!

If Tennessee would ever actually beat Florida once in all our freaking lifetimes I would. But I got nothing to say to a Florida fan who's team has absolutely owned Tennessee for the last 40-50 years.....I got no leg to stand on until we do.

And again, I'll show respect to programs who've earned it, where it's due. No Appy State fan has earned the right to talk any ish around here. They just need to take their ass whipping, be happy that theyre playing in Neyland in front of 100k fans so that their check is big and fat....and then shut the hell up.

I can't think of a stranger OOC road game for Miami than at Appy St. I mean Boone is beautiful town way up in the mountains, but it is about as far from Miami, FL as you can get.

Ease up KB lol. I played my college ball at Appalachian when Mack Brown started them down the road to being a solid program. It's a school that takes great pride in their program and they will play with everything they have to give. Any reasonable fan knows it won't be enough because of the talent and depth disparity but it will not be Western Carolina either. Try not to get your jimmies rustled by a fan that holds out hope for a very unlikely outcome.

It could certainly get ugly fast. UT is a loaded team and this is a season opener and all the players will be itching to hit a real opponent. I wish this game was in the middle of the season for both schools lol.

Did you look at the ingredients? Boone IS known for some high quality greenery and I ain't talkin about ferns. That wasn't basil on top.:peace:
