What about Canes OC Thomas Brown now that Richt has retired? He has been a OC in the SEC and played and coached in the SEC and is a good recruiter also? Just curious??
they might have buried the hatchet, but it was Brown that went to blows with Pruitt

I can hear it on the recruiting trail now....

Go play for the Vols where they have a OC that was fired in Atlanta and run out of the NFL.

Lord, please help us.

VFL...GBO!!!
Recruits don’t care, college coaches fired all the time as well. They will just see he coached for Bama and in the NFL, not a bad sell to recruits

As OC for the Falcons? Most think he is fired tomorrow and watching this game explains why, can’t get to 100 yards in a half with All Pro QB and All Pro WR against the 3rd worst D in the NFL.

That said, Major Applewhite was fired today and would be a huge hire. Was Pruitt at Bama the same time as Applewhite?

Yelp, you are right about having an All-Pro quarterback and receiver, but that's about it. Falcons now ahead 31-26 with a little over 7 minutes left. One Helluva job Sark has done to get the Falcons out front.

The notion that Sarkisian is what's wrong with the Falcons is just dumb. Offense had been fine when they actually protect attached Ryan. Can't defend thin air though.

I know, right? When Kiffin was fired from USC and hired at Bama with ALLLLLLL his baggage the recruiting there went to shite. Same thing will happen to TN. Book it.

I could believe that. I would wager his agent leaked that. Timing is just too perfect with the Ohio State rumors and the fact that we probably have our hire next week with the NFL season ending. IF Sark is named next week I believe he was always going to be the guy.

Better fit offensively for what Pruitt has seen be successful at Bama. Has familiarity with Pruitt as well. Now I'm sure we talked to some people and I'm sure some were backup plans but I think Pruitt wants someone he has past history with.
Pruitt definitely wanted Yurcich by all accounts, otherwise he wouldnt have made an offer...just not sure if he was going to let him run his offense. That is reportedly more important than money to Yurcich. Wants to prove himself on a bigger stage while running his own offense.

Not sure Sark is a better fit, hes become a bit pass happy. Running production has never been much to write home about.

While I would love to have Major Applewhite, I believe that the OC has not been announced because it has been decided already but he is still coaching and wanted to keep it secret till its all over.

I think the same thing, waiting on the bowl game to be over or the NFL season to end. I really expect announcement this week or next.

He was talked to weeks ago to gauge his interest, turned down advances from UT. His camp is putting this out there now to leverage for the Ohio State job. That's why all the info is coming from okie state, hes telling his favorite beat writer.

Got anything to back that up or are you just spreading more bs

I want nothing to do with Sark. He has the best offensive weapons package outside of the Saints and he can't do shite with um!

Dude, maybe you should do some fact finding before posting. Atlanta is in the top 25% in most every offensive category besides rushing. They lost two OL and Freeman the best RB mid Oct. Coleman (RB) was also limited and hurt some. The D is much more of the problem with the win loss record. Matt Ryan had his second best ever season this year. Do people actually do some research before spouting off nonsense on this board? I would say NOT 90% of the time!

You guys do realize that all this information is pointless. No matter what we think what we say what information we search the man is going to hire who he wants. Stop wasting your time

So Atlanta is 8th in total offense and we don't want Sark because he is a bad OC? I worry about hiring Sark, but not because he is a bad OC. Injuries hurt Atlanta this year not the offense. They lost both their starting safeties, pro bowl middle LB and pro bowl RB at the beginning of the season.

Anyway, looks like Quinn will let the OC, DC and ST coach all go this year. Whether we offered Sark is unknown.
