Anyone watching Nico tonight?

It's the environment that's been created around college sports, that's how he was that delusional. Probably still is to a certain extent.
They really thought they had Tennessee in a barrel & would be forced to pay up. Reality was Heupel saw this guy wasn’t getting it & decided to move on.

I live in California, Gavin Newsom is atrocious, and for all that talk about contributing so much to federal taxes is misleading considering California is in a 10-20 billion dollar deficit annually
California is beutiful, specifically SOCA is you have the money for it

Had family (not good family) in woodland hills

The really sad part about this whole Nico thing is that he's not a great QB. Mediocre but with the RIGHT development AND RIGHT people around him, he had the *potential* to he good. He had evvvvvvverything here for him in knoxville. Literal grown ass 50 year old men defending a man wearing a skirt, while still overthrowing throws more than Joe Milton.

Now, nico has really ruined his chances in the NFL, playing in front of nobody with a nobody team

And Nico also fcked himself in the process. I'm LA, especially him, he's a very small fish in a huge pond.

He could have been mid here and been a celebrity

Nobody knows this bum now

California is an amazing state, it's so beautiful. The parks are amazing! The cities on the other hand are garbage. They funny how they're so much for "environmental" yet their cities are dumpster fires. The most trash around a city I've ever seen. Specifically talking about San Fran

I don't have that big of a problem with what he did. Turns out it was a pretty bad business decision for him. He thought his market value was more than it was.

I'm kind of glad it worked out like it did. He's a great athlete and has all the physical tools. He wasn't a good QB at any point for UT. He missed too many open throws. He missed seeing WAY too many receivers. He didn't appear to be a good leader that the other guys gravitated to.

Nothing against him. The Vols just needed someone better and were kind of handcuffed due to NIL.
What I blame him for most is trying to make the Vols look like the bad guys in the fiasco. It was low class.

These are the dumbest takes on this forum...and that's saying a lot.

Funny how "uninhabitable" you claim California to be when the population is 40 million.

The leadership you claim is the "worse in the nation" is has created and is in charge of the 4th largest economy in the world, not to mention adding $83 billion more in federal taxes than in receives. As you know, most Southern states are the opposite. :p

If your friends are desperate to leave, please encourage that! We don't really need them.

On a separate football note, I live in Los Angeles and can't imagine why anyone would want to play for UCLA. The stadium is located 45 minutes away from campus, there are very few native American football fans (most Angelenos are ex-pats), and there is no college football "culture". Nico's situation reeks of either vastly overplaying his hand, or, more likely, he doesn't truly LOVE football.
California once again leads the list in people moving OUT of. Tells me all I need to know. I’ll stick with my “poor, ran down southern state” that you speak of any day.

Cali's biggest armpit is the guy with the oily slicked back hair. Shall I make a list of his monumental failures?
Well, Trump recently said SF was a great city 15 years ago. You know who was Mayor of SF then? Enough of the silly politics.

The Lake Tahoe area is awesome as is most of Northern California. And the area around San Diego. My opinion is based on first hand experience

This is soo true. Lived there in the late 80s and mid 90s and it was that way then also. Cities are even worse now though.

In case you don't know, California's economy was booming long before the nut jobs began to destroy it in the last few decades. It's blessed with great weather that allows growing every crop imaginable , has tons of tourist places, access to the Pacific ocean, lots of natural resources. To give the current leaders there credit for what they inherited is laughable. It truth, California still has an economy in SPITE of the leaders and not from anything they 've done
