The surface books do look nice. Especially if you use it mostly as a laptop.I've had mine for about 4-5 years. I have loved mine. Only downfall I have found is pulling my computer out on a car ride and trying to work on it with the kickstand. I had a buddy get the surface book and I really think that will be my next purchase since it fixes the one thing I have complaints about with my surface pro 3.
Curious to hear feedback from those who use on of these extensively. (sorry, not sorry, for another tech post.)
Not sure if you're a costco member or which model you're looking for exactly, but they have the sp6 with an i5 and 8gb of ram for $799. That includes the type cover and the surface pen also.I have a SP3 that I have had for years. It was the most premium config when I bought it. I have the docker station that allows me to connect to a 40" monitor here at my desk and at a moments notice, I can close it and take off on the road with it. Touch screen, so many things to love. Battery is no longer as good as it needs to be and cant be replaced, so that is an issue. When I get the funds, however, I am going to be buying the SP6.
It has also held up well to drops and many an outing. Its also the perfect size for the road. Big enough to get something real done but easy enough to travel with.
Keyboard the vast majority of the time. I’ve played around with it in all modes. It’s so much easier for me with the keyboard vs the tablet keyboard, plus it acts as a cover as well.Do you it mostly with the keyboard or in tablet mode?
Lol. I'm kind of a tech "freak" and like to hear about different people's opinions on different pieces of tech that they may have experience with. I've thought about just starting a tech thread in here that I can ramble on in.I like how the guy who maintains this site is the one with all the tech questions.. what are we paying this guy for?
