Reason why Iam asking is my family is moving to Wisconsin on may 10th and we are staying overnight in Lexington and wanted to know where is a good place to eat so if we have any Tenn fans that live there or someone who has been there plenty of times I would appreciate it .:good!:

TG, where are you staying and what do you like? Let me know and I will make some recommendations.

Ramseys is always my first suggestion. It is a "meat and three" with fried chicken, fried steak, pork chops, catfish and other great choices. They have the best selection of vegetables like fried okra, stewed tomatoes, squas, mashed potatoes and gravy etc. etc. as well. Save room for pie, it is the best in town.

If you are looking for something a little more upscale, then hit Murray's or the Merrick Inn. You cannot go wrong with either, but you are going to pay a little more for the meal.

I was born and raised in Lexington.

Depends on what you want to eat but some good choices is Joe Bologna's Joe Bolognas > joebolognas.com
DeSha's deSha's / Lexington Restaurants

and A La Lucie.... the best place to go.....

Hey man, I've never been to Lexington. I was just going by your links in case anybody was too lazy to read them. :vava:

No doubt it is very expensive, but it is by far the best place to eat in Lexington.

If you want the cheap home cooked meal you have to go to Loudon Square Buffet.

Buffets are ok when hungry and on a budget. I was just feeling Joe Bologna's and like the name.

Joe B's is a great place because of the food and second the atmosphere is wonderful and it is set in an old jewish synagogue.

Their pizza is out of this world!

I've always been partial to Malone's, but I have a friend who works there, so I'm biased. Merrick Inn is very good, especially in the warmer months when you can sit on the patio.
