Anyone have any updates on Jeremy Banks's status?

Dunno why anyone is against the kid for having a second chance.

One, we’ve all done something extremely stupid at some point in our life, and I bet in the aftermath of the stupid thing you did you wished you could take it back.

Two, he can’t take back what he did but he can change for the better.

Three, the change that he has undergone is a testament to his will and fortitude for wanting to change, and Is a great example for the University/Football team for allowing him a second chance and steering him in the right direction. What kids parents wouldn’t want their kid to go to a place that will make you better as a “human” not just as a football player.

Four, he is coming back and he will push to start right next to Henry TooToo this year.

Have a good day and Go Vols.

P.S. All of you hypocrites out there need to take a long hard look at yourselves and fix your mindset.

Hypocrites because we don't agree with you? So his punishment was just a joke? What kind of message is that for team discipline?

Hypocritical would be the University allowing his return after all of the racist garbage he spewed on his little video while not allowing other kids to attend for saying much less.

Oh you’re talking about the cheerleader? Did that on her own for fun. That was HER video. This wasn’t HIS. What was racist about it? It was anti-police but I don’t recall “this is what we do to WHITE cops.” Back in August...deal or don’t.

First and Foremost, Thank you for replying to a month old message.

The Hypocrisy of it all is that you posters act like you have never done anything wrong in your life.

Jeremy Banks was unfortunate and got arrested and then was caught on video saying some very irresponsible things. People do that in anger sometimes. Just so also happens that he was a D1 Football player which ended up with it making major news.

He was punished by not being allowed to play football. A game that could possibly make him millions of dollars. Basically possibly ruining his life even more.

However, Jeremy Banks took it upon himself to change for the better and to become a better person. He even apologized to the cops who he said the things to and the entire department. He worked with them and bettered himself. But, you know to each their own. Just shows what type of individuals you are.

Now the team is going to let him back and you guys decide it’s the right time to respond to my post? Well you were wrong. You just made yourselves look like fools. Pure heartlessness. Everyone deserves a second chance and his peers decided to allow him to stay at Tennessee. Where he has maintained above a 3.0 GPA.

Now GTFOH. Thank you.

Jeremy Banks has demonstrated, although it is to a very minor degree - that he is reformed. Good.

Put him back on the team and the first time he looks crosseyed, can his ass.
How long must he show that he has changed? The fact that people on here and in the USA is what's wrong with this country and fan base. Good Lord if a kid makes a mistake may as well lock him up for the rest of his life.

I say let the kid back and if he slips up again he is gone

Is Jeremy Banks still on the Tennessee Football Team?

No. He has not been a part of them team since the incident last fall. I do not anticipate him returning to the team. The Vols are already two scholarships over the limit of 85 (when you deduct walk-ons that were placed on scholarship last year) and, frankly, have better football players at both running back and linebacker than he is. I think he'll get another chance and be successful, but it will be at another school.

Glad you are making up this fantasy land where he suffered no punishment.....

Let’s not even talk about the fact that he suffered humiliation in the media. Something that will always follow him.

I could do without ever knowing you in real life. You know since you are so amazing that you are arguing for ruining a kids life over being arrested for a failure to appear..... you are a magnificent person.

He wasn’t arrested for drugs, drinking and driving, weapons or anything. He was arrested for a failure to appear which resulted in a bench warrant. Then he said some stupid things. But off with his head.... bad Apple get him out of here.... lol

😂

Ah, hurts me deeply I will never meet in person such a knowledgeable hero type as you. Where does your forgive and forget end, maybe a bank robbery or rapist can just join your Sunday school class and say sorry.

😂 , good comparison to someone who got arrested for not paying a speeding ticket, when he was caught speeding going to his grandfathers who had passed away. Who was the most significant male figure in his life.

Man. You are one of a kind. That’s for sure.

Good grief man. If there was a Venn diagram for pious and passive-aggressive, this post would be in the intersection.
