Does anybody feel as though it is difficult to get excited about ANY new coaching hires due to the fact that there is a good possibility that the coach will not be here coaching next year? I understand that the coaching industry is fluid, but my gosh. When does the turnover stop? It is difficult to build chemistry when you have to replace 75% of your coaching staff year in and year out. If I was Dooley, I'd be pulling my hair out in frustration.

Not a very productive way to look at it. Is it possible, yes.... However, you have to live with your mindset for the next year.

God does Dooleys hair when Dooley wakes up every morning( which is why it is perfect) so pulling it out might present a problem between Dooley and the big man upstairs.

They are bailing for lateral moves. And before someone says it, this much turnover isn't normal. Especially for coaches taking lateral moves.

Perhaps it's because these are not normal times at UT. CDD has things turning in UT's favor. Takes more than two years.

Coming from the idiot that was so sure spangler was going to be the next defensive coordinator, this does not mean much at all. Wilcox and Sirmon have wanted to go back out west since the day they got here, had nothing to do with dooley. As far as CLT goes, he was never really a dooley hire to begin with. So he is leaving a coach that never really hired in the first place for a coach that has hired three times now and he has a much longer relationship with. Not really surprising.

You either get worse, stay even, or get better when a new asst comes in, and its the HC's job to make sure you don't get worse with the hire. That's all that needs focus. It's either a good hire now, or not. 2 years from now, who knows.

Or you can be a sky is falling type and rehash the hires and a game lost in 2011 like the clown a few posts up.

Coaches come and coaches go, but good players make good coaches, not the other way around. Outstanding recruiting will make coaches look better while poor recruiting makes them look sorry. Time will tell with CDD's hires and loses.

a coach is nothing more than a teacher ..IMO I figured a good teacher of the game would be better ?

I just don't see how we are turning anything around.
no matter Who is coaching at UT they will have to add players.

75% of the Coaches leaving ?
Dooley has yet to out coach anyone
we still have a lot of players leaving, transfering etc.
setting his players out in front of the media last season
I just could go on and on about Dooley . He's a great talker and he makes you wanta pull for him because he is the coach of a team you love . Other than that he's done nothing to win anyone over or make me think he can even be Headcoach in the SEC
