I just don't understand so many of these players who fail to seemingly try at this level. If I had all the tangibles (height, weight, speed, hands, etc.) I would certainly hone my intangibles (work ethic, attitude, film study, play-book knowledge, etc.) in order to sign a contract which would potentially make me a multi-millionaire in my early 20s. One contract is worth more than a life-time of work for many, many people.
Maybe they're just sick of football.
Why has Croom not been told to move to TE? It's like David Martin 2.0 - NFL scouts would salivate thinking about him as a developed TE.
What does "Fail to seemingly try" even mean? It's sad that you just assume that he's not on the field because he's not trying hard enough. The poor guy has had awful luck with injuries. I'm sure he'd be on the field if he could.I just don't understand so many of these players who fail to seemingly try at this level. Have you seen Ellis play TE? You have to lay down your body seemingly every play and get up and do it again. I can't see Croom sacrificing his body to block thus he just doesn't fit in as a TE in our system.
