I thought the time table for his injury put him getting back around the Alabama game. His size could really help us with all the screens we run.

I haven't even heard of how Maggit is progressing.

Luckily, it appears we are gonna be ok without Croom but he has massive potential I hope he can come back strong.

I just don't understand so many of these players who fail to seemingly try at this level. If I had all the tangibles (height, weight, speed, hands, etc.) I would certainly hone my intangibles (work ethic, attitude, film study, play-book knowledge, etc.) in order to sign a contract which would potentially make me a multi-millionaire in my early 20s. One contract is worth more than a life-time of work for many, many people.

Maybe they're just sick of football.

Word is Maggit won't be back until the last game and that's the earliest.

Why has Croom not been told to move to TE? It's like David Martin 2.0 - NFL scouts would salivate thinking about him as a developed TE.

Are you referring to Croom? You do know that he's injured, right? He tore his ACL last year before the bowl game, recovered all off-season, and had a follow-up knee surgery during fall camp.

Have you seen Ellis play TE? You have to lay down your body seemingly every play and get up and do it again. I can't see Croom sacrificing his body to block thus he just doesn't fit in as a TE in our system.

What does "Fail to seemingly try" even mean? It's sad that you just assume that he's not on the field because he's not trying hard enough. The poor guy has had awful luck with injuries. I'm sure he'd be on the field if he could.

Do you foresee him getting snaps over Malone, Williams, Smith, North, and Jennings? Teach him to block, if wants on the field, that's his way forward.

Croom has been recovering from an ACL injury since the end of last year. It freaking ridiculous to read some of the crap about him not being apart of long term plans or he isn't trying hard enough to play at this level. Not everyone heals at rate from an injury like this.

This is one of the most ignorant things I have ever read on this site.

Good grief. It's amazing how some of our players just don't care enough to work hard and do well so they can win and eventually get an NFL check. If it was me, I'd be out there every day hopping on one leg and telling the coach I was ready to play. Kids today are just soft.

I hate to see a player like Croom, losing a lot of his college career due to the injury bug. The same being said for Maggitt. All the time and games Maggitt has missed in his Tennessee is awful. Especially when you see the effort and how hard he plays when he's somewhat healthy.

I don't understand why some people give so little effort to be informed.

His injury was very serious, a dislocated kneecap with a patella tendon tear. 1st surgery last winter repaired the tendon. Second surgery, August 30th time frame, was to see how the knee was healing. He was looking at 4-6 weeks from the date of his Scope. This week is week #8 for him. Hopefully, we'll get word soon on his return.
