I haven't seen enough of Freeze to know if he would've gotten us a SEC win with UT's talent. I'd be willing to bet the 5 other coaches you named would've had at least one win.
Hell, if Wilcox would've stayed I think we're 6-2 right now. No way our D is as horrid as it is this year. Sunseri will be Dooley's final nail in his coffin.
I think that your post is fair and I think with Wilcox we might have gotten a win today and maybe another...
But what I'm trying to get at is this...I've never been impressed with Dooley on the field in SEC play. Managing the personnel, managing the clock, managing time-outs, managing the mood of the team.
Maybe it's an "IT" factor, not sure, but I see no passion, no joy and more importantly I don't get the sense that the players respect him, wanna leave it on the field for him...and I did see that in the Ole Miss game today, from players to the coach, a mutual respect. Sorry for the long post.
