Why can Hugh Freeze do what he's doing in 1 year at Ole Miss and Dooley is in his 3rd year and can't beat anybody?

Same with James Franklin at Vandy in his 2nd year.

One thing is we don't have auburn on our schedule this year (although we probably couldn't stop them either). Other than that, I don't know.

Well if you are going to go there, Ole Miss hasn't beaten anyone and lost to every good team they've played. If they beat Georgia next week, then you have a point.

And James Franklin has yet to beat a winning team.

Good point on Freeze, but I wouldn't say Franklin has done anything. Who has he beat? Franklin's success is the university finally getting smart and scheduling cup cakes as their non conference games rather than money makers.

Franklin?!? Dooley is 1-12 in the SEC the last two years with the lone win against Franklin.

One difference that comes to mind is neither has played 5 teams currently ranked in the top 13 in the country. I am quite sure they would have faired the same if they had.

well it doesn't help when you've played number 1, 2 , 10,11 and 13. Dominated every one them except bama at times. Got a team that can't tackle and QB that hasn't learned to win yet. It sucks

they will finsh ahead of us... would you like to bet?

we also got Bama and MSU on our schedule, they have, maybe the worst auburn team ever and ole miss. also Dooley is 2-0 against Franklin in head to head matchups.....you really think vandy will beat UT this year??

I like Freeze. Very positive even though they have really only beaten Auburn and Arkansas. Not conference wins were weak.

Franklin hasn't proven anything yet. I looked at his record, and he is like 9-11 with wins against Army, Wake Forest, Elon, UConn, and Presbyterian. SEC wins against Nutt at OM and UK and this year against Muzzou and Auburn. We may not want Dooley but I don't want that either. A lot of hype, no substance.

Freeze was derided in the past but remains innovative and brings new stuff to the table. Doing an excellent job. Franklin on the other hand is a blowhard who certain people in the media don't shut up about. This is asinine considering the program. Kudos to Shoop though.

Just want to point out we're arguing over how much better or worse
Vandy and Ole Miss are to us. We're Tennessee we shouldnt even be worried about what the lower half of the conference is doing. Unfortunately the last few years we ARE the lower half of the conference. Man we sure have gone down hill. You can thank the last 3 coaches for that.
