JG wasnt recruited by Chaney either... Stupid OP..... Our head coach isn't ready to be a HC... He is having issues internally cause he cant manage a team.... Let's get to the core... He sucks

Chaney is not passing on Bailey because he doesn’t like him, I know that for a fact. The truth is that Bailey, while having all the talent, is just not ready. We have got to stop pretending that Covid-19 isn’t one of the main contributing factors. Having no spring reps and missing a lot of summer practice killed HB’s chances of a big freshman year. Look around the country...there are just not that many true freshman starting right now for the same reasons. I am not a JG excuse maker. I can’t stand watching him play. That being said, with limited players in summer, there just weren’t enough QB reps to go around which helped JG cement his spot again. I think it is time to hit that eject button and lose all games letting other QB’s audition, but I trust what I hear from practice that HB has a ways to go to be successful in a whole game.
How much did Pruitt or Fulmer pay for that quote? $20.... The players know JG sucks... You can see it

Pruitt has stated that he would not "throw Bailey to the wolves". He said that's what happened to JG and he wouldn't do that to his young QB.
JG's problem has nothing to do with being thrown to the wolves too early --- if that's what Pruitt sees from watching JG ... and he misses his obvious weaknesses with processing the play, the defence, working through progressions, leading receivers, hitting receivers in stride, feeling and avoiding the rush, etc. etc. ----then Pruitt has been watching JG in his dreams, because in real life - everything he does is too slowwwwwww, and it has always been too slowwwwwww and he's always been inaccurate. It isn't because he was put in too early, it's because he isn't a very good quarterback. Rather than having the intangibles, he lacks vertually all the intangibles. He is a good kid, but so was I, and I wasn't trying to lead and direct an SEC football offense.

If he does then he’s a smart young man to learn it that fast
The kid got the playbook when he signed. As a Qb if he isnt at least familiar with the playbook 11 months later that would not bode well towards his dreams of being a pro. @ 1vol8 has obviously played some ball before bc this guy knows what actually goes into a gameplan week to week. He doesnt need to know the entire playbook thats a 2-3 yr process before a Qb masters the entire playbook. So the playbook can never be an excuse for a young Qb not playing bc none of them truly know their entire playbook when they start playing not even a guy like Lawrence. They are supposed to put in 15-20 plays at practice that he is comfortable with. Thats 30-40 plays if u flip them which is more then enough plays to get through a game. My guess is the playbook aint the problem. Its more about the audibles, communicating the oline calls, & Pruitt making him earn his PT. I would think that Kennedy being a 6th yr Sr should help with the line calls, & its looks like he knows his check downs just in case his audible calls are a little schetchy. This aint as hard as alot of us make it out to be. Cater your offense to his abilities simple as that.

This thread is irrelevant anymore, Bailey and Shrout getting ALL 1st team reps in practice, focus on those 2-

I’ve seen the playbook. It’s fairly thick and understandably overwhelming if you’re unfamiliar with the terminology. I know he’s had it a while now but my comment was related to to how smart he’d have to be to retain the information from a sheet of paper along with his academics. Most qbs I’ve been around are normally visual learners. Meaning running the play is more effective than drawing it. So if he was able to learn it on paper before running it, to me that’s impressive.

The problem is when JG gets healthy, this thread will be relevant again.
The cancellation of the A&M game gives JG healing time. I hope he does but Pruitt is
locked into him and will play him regardless
sure surprise me if he doesn't. As long as JG
plays the team is just spinning it's wheels.

I hope JG heals 100%. I hope the doctors hold his health as top priority and give him at least a month to heal.

I believe your assumption is a bit misleading. You're correct that Chaney started Eason until he was hurt and Fromm took over then Fields came and sat. Fromm doesn't get enough credit but he had them in the hunt for the NC consistently as a competent game manager. There was no reason to start Fields. Sure, we are Fields look amazing now but things aren't always so clear so early.
