That would be a Dem win because the GOP doesn’t want a stand alone vote on the ACA subsidies. Would put the escalation in premiums squarely on them heading into the mid terms.
so it is ok for Dems to look at political victories? or is Trump not supposed to?

Ok then why would the Democrats not vote to re open the government. Why would they want to keep it shutdown.

Maybe I wasn't clear.

The end to the ACA subsidies was buried in the massive bill. A stand alone vote on them in December allows the Dems to point to it, untethered to other things that the GOP can obfuscate with.

So when the premiums skyrocket, and the GOP passes no alternative, it will alienate many, many voters, heading into the mid terms.
