another article smearing Peyton

Guys, who cares ?! This is part of the reason I don't do social media. The only people who know what happened are the young lady in question and Peyton. No me ,or my wife, or my mailman, or anyone on volnation. So to even comment on it, regardless of what side you believe, is foolish. You reap what you sow. Whoever committed the transgression will be made to pay. Let's just keep it moving.

If it was Tom Brady you all would be calling for him to be in jail.

Only you would find a way to bring Brady into this discussion. And of course that cheater should be in jail if it were him. 😀

To the OP, I doubt the Mannings went on a full on smear campaign against the woman and I'm not sure tea bagging 20 years ago warrants any outrage, but it's quite obvious that Peyton was definitely out of line way more than we were originally led to believe.

Also I doubt Manning would violate non disclosure agreements if he feels he did something really wrong or if he has a lot to hide.

Jamie Whited was married to Coach John Whited's son. Coach Whited was UT baseball coach for five years in the mid to late 80s; prior to that he coached at ETSU and was head coach at DB in Kingsport. Second highest winning percentage among UT baseball coaches. Very well thought of.
So see Jamie got her break in part because she married into the Vol family. Not because she was the best thing since sliced bread as the writer, MR BLM race baiter Shaun King implies. I suspect Ms Jamie has kept quiet for a reason. She really doesnt want to relive her past either.....

I think you are right on both counts. I definitely think Peyton should be glad as hell this happened before social media became so ubiquitous.

I think this sums up everything:
By request of the counsel of Peyton Manning, the details of that incident have been sealed and three-and-a-half pages concerning it have been redacted from the permanent record (see pages 11-14).
End of story.

Where do they get this "sitting on a trainer's face" stuff? I wasn't there so I'll never know but the story I heard was more of a half moon at at least twenty feet.

Having grown up in Kingsport, mooning was something that happened on occasion, particularly on Broadstreet on a Saturday night. I remember in July of 1969, "Moon Day" was thought by some to be some sort of mooning license. Girls were even known to get into the act.

If coach Johnny let his son marry someone so sensitive I feel bad for him. It was probably the tip of the iceberg for all sorts of other issues.

Because the guy that was mooned said it never happened

It was more than a 'mooning' as it was initially characterized by Peyton and Mike Rollo but in terms of a smear campaign? The only thing he could be talking about was Peyton saying that she had a vulgar mouth in a book. That wasn't corroborated by anyone else. However, that really isn't much of a smear and he had more material to work with than her language.

Fwiw, ESPN just showed Archie at the Duke vs Virginia game... maybe hanging with Cutcliffe?

I usually do not reply much on topics after the season but to keep seeing the negative attempts to condemn Peyton is very unusual. I try to find reasoning in the effort but come up short: he has always seemed to be diplomatic when interviewed, you can actually Understand what he is implying when he does speak, he decided to stay in college instead of running for the money, he has not committed any "drive by's" guns a blaring after a long night out at the bars, he makes for the most part funny commercials, and he is pretty good on the football field! Yup, can't figure it out except some people do not need a reason, to heck with their philosophy.

Go Vols and Go Peyton
Because he is white and GOAT.Jealous of a lifetime hard worker. Oldfation case of misery loves company.lastly, My Peyton beat their Cam what's his face.

The end of the story is that Archie wasn't getting paid for Peyton to come to Tennessee

Normally I would agree. But the author of the article is a nationally famous (notorious) political activist. His politics are very relevant to the discussion at hand.

What about Fox News covering the lawsuit? What about their politics?

To me, the author does seem to have an agenda or some axe to grind in relation to Cam . However, that does not mean the allegations against Manning are without merit.

I just read about the incident of Manning allegedly "tea bagging" the female athletic trainer. I also read there was a witness, a fellow teammate, who corroborated the story. Sometimes some of the most unbelievable stories have some truth to them. And sometimes they are just lies. If there was more investigation into this incident, I would not be against it.
