I'm not sure. His dad posted on volquest a little bit ago and said he's had several bone and cartilage surgeries which suggest patellafemoral injures but it could be anything. The anatomy of the knee Is very complex and a bunch of injuries don't show up on any kind of scan, they only be diagnosed by a skilled orthopedic surgeon (dial test, lachman test, pivot shift reverse, etc. )
He is definitely doing the right thing by giving up football. It sounds like that after 4 surgeries, he could be dealing with Osteoarthritis in 20-30 years as it is.
