And Tony V is officially gone.

They’re delusional. Tony isn’t coming back to the college game. If things don’t work out in San Francisco he will get a position coach job with another MLB team and try his luck again.
If he doesn't do good in MLB, he will be back in college in 3-4 years, book it.

I didn’t say baseball is going down the tube. And even if it does I’m still watching. My issue with Danny is that I’ve long resented how he’s diverted funds away from football to subsidize the women and now he’s done it to baseball. (Been doing it) It’s inexcusable that he didn’t keep Jacobe Thomas this past season. I’d much rather pay him than the useless girls team
if you had a daughter playing for UT would you have the same opinion? Lady Vols are pretty important to a lot of people

i talked to a buddy who lives in arkansas, and the people around there believe that if tony goes to the giants, he will be arkansas's coach in three years or less

Arkansas fans are the most delusional on the planet. So no surprise

White has nothing to do with the success of 2/3 major sports. Again I’ll give him credit for Heupel

Just plain ignorant. And you’re ignorant for claiming 3 major sports. Women’s basketball has always been and will always be a bigger deal than college baseball. Sorry bud

Okay when Texas A&M came calling with a huge contract, who was it that made Tony V the highest paid coach in the country? ITS AN MLB FRANCHISE. It’s not like he’s going to Arkansas or some ****. Lmfao

Some people cannot fathom that coaching in The Show is an entirely different level (really, planet) than coaching in college at Tennessee.

This is akin to a high school football coaching moving straight up to the SEC.

Rough week to be a Vols fan for sure.

Life is full of choices and sometimes you make stupid ones, this is a stupid one. His motivation style will not translate to the major leagues which is a completely different animal much like the NFL. I wish him the best but this was dumb

They are probably correct, most MLB managers rarely last more than 3-4 years, even good ones

As a Vol, I’m disappointed. As a lifelong Dodger fan, I’m not that upset. Not sure his style will work in the show if the Giants don’t go with a big youth movement/total rebuild but who knows
