Ament's injury

Sitting him will create questions for the committee as to whether he will even play in the tournament. Then we’re looking at a 9-10 seed instead of a 5-6.
I doubt that, but you could bring him back for the SEC tournament if that’s a concern.

Get blown out on Friday or Saturday and you’ll see that it does matter to the committee.

Very few teams are still playing on Sunday. Even then they’ll have the scenarios for those outcomes as contingencies for the final bracket. Every game matters.
It will for us as we are Tennessee and if we are a lower seed they will punish us due to Ament injury.

Boswell is a hard worker on the court no doubt , great defensive player . He needs work on his shot from outside - there is simply not enough good shooters on this years team .
He shoots 50% from the field and 38% from three. Anyone who watches the games understands he’s passing up open looks. Boswell would start on many SEC teams. He’d probably be used more effectively on offense, at the expense of other things he provides, like rebounding and defending the break so JG can be more aggressive.

If Ament has a serious ankle injury, they need to shut him down and let him get ready for the NBA.

I think that it would already have been announced if Ament’s injury was serious. Doubt that he would gave recentered the Bama game either.

I’d reckon his status for tomorrow at USCjr will be out or questionable and he won’t play. Then they’ll sit on info as much as possible instead of showing their hand to Vandy for Saturday.

I am going to give both of you the benefit of the doubt and assume you do not watch UT Men's Basketball games. Because if you do.........o_O

You can't fault the effort of the team. Heck, look at the rebound difference.47-30. Just not having Ament out there was the main difference in why we faltered down the stretch.
Idk, we have faltered down the stretch throughout this season. Kentucky (2), Arkansas, Illinois, Syracuse, Kansas. With or without him, I’d put our ceiling at Sweet 16.

They can most likely get away with beating the chickens without him. Candy? 50/50. Either way, get the man back to as close as 100% as possible for The Big Dance and let's roll. GBO🍊

I would agree we probably win with him, but we should have still won without him. We were up double digits with under 9 today.
And then JG gets punched in the mouth and Felix goes out after banging his head.
And a lot of those missed “bunnies” were serious fouls, not that those guys would have made any FT

Boswell has a lot of growing up to do that’s for sure. We’re lucky ament even has a shot at returning this season. ANY of us lames in here get bent like that, we’re out for a year.

Or South Carolina.
I’ll take either of their 2 guards over him. No offense to him but he’d be coming off the bench for most teams but he’s only a sophomore. LSU is the obvious exception. Maybe Ole Miss if they are still starting that Perry kid.

A CT scan? That would be an odd test for a ligament injury.
CT won’t see ligaments as well as mri and also gives immediate results fwiw so I’m not sure about the news report. We will see soon. I don’t expect him to practice if he couldn’t finish the game.

That's what I was driving at. Hopefully they aren't concerned about a possible fracture.
