Ament's injury

He shoots 50% from the field and 38% from three. Anyone who watches the games understands he’s passing up open looks. Boswell would start on many SEC teams. He’d probably be used more effectively on offense, at the expense of other things he provides, like rebounding and defending the break so JG can be more aggressive.
I agree with you he should shoot more with those stats from 3.

Boswell is a hard worker on the court no doubt , great defensive player . He needs work on his shot from outside - there is simply not enough good shooters on this years team .
I think Boswell needs to shoot more. Him and Gillespie need to shoot more and the rest crash the boards. This team has to have scorers step up. The bigs got to finish inside. Sometimes our bigs dribble too much inside instead of getting the ball up high and either go up or pass it. Dribbling in the paint is dangerous, you need a plan and it needs to be done quick. GBO

A CT scan? That would be an odd test for a ligament injury.
I thought so as well but I’m pretty sure Gainey said that in the interview. FWIW I’m four month out of a torn achille tendon repair and have had a CT scan post op to assess the repair and such. Also had a CT scan pre op to assess the Achilles tear. And to plan for treatment. Achille tendon is a big tendon.

I can understand it as pre-op procedure to assess and plan for repair. That's what makes me wonder if there is more to his injury. Hopefully they are just being overly cautious.

Sounds like high ankle sprain...at least that's what was being shared this morning on Sports Talk.

I didnt think you could get anymore dumber.....but here we are.
It’s unlikely he’s a starter at any top SEC program other than UT. South Carolina? Sure. It’s his defense that gets him time for Barnes, but few coaches are as enamored with defense like him. It’s not as if he’s a master dribbler, penetrative or distributor. Scrappy kid, but not a starter. And let’s not forget that Barnes and staff were desperately trying to find a transfer for that spot.

I'm not going to insult your intelligence, but know I want to.

Bishop as a 6'4" 200+ Guard that can play 1 through 3 would start at half of the teams in the SEC, especially if he went to them out of HS.

Missouri, Georgia, LSU, Miss State, South Carolina, A&M that's the 6 that offered him outta HS along with us I think he could start at Ole Miss, Auburn and possibly even Texas as well.

6.7 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.9 apg shooting 50% FG and 42.6% 3PT on just 4.3 FGAs per game...his effective FG% is 58.9% which would be 4th in the SEC...

Barnes' system limits offensive production for every single player in it. Carr went from 4.8 ppg to 19.2, Freddie couldn't get on the court here and went to scoring 9.4 ppg at Penn State and now is upto 14 ppg.

To say Bishop wouldn't start anywhere else in the SEC is just dumb. SEC only has 40 players that score 12 points a night on average... 40 players for 16 teams and of those 40 only 19 have started every game they've played.

Bishop does what he's asked to do for Barnes and that's why he starts...he would do the same at any other SEC team and also be rewarded for it. You drop him in an offense first "don't worry about turnovers" system and he's putting up 10+ a night
