Press pool asked him to comment on McCain 3 or 4 times this AM. He said nothing. He's said nicer things about Kim and Putin than McCain.

He didn’t like the man. That was obvious. If he said something flattering you guys would have rightfully called him disingenuous. Being quiet is the correct response... but that doesn’t give you your sound byte to attack I know.

Why does that matter? Being banned from a funeral takes a special kind of sleaze, even worse when it's 2 in a year and a half.
