The other half of that is certain high level government positions will maintain that clearance even in retirement (or in this case removal) due to the nature of their work as well as having to consult on matters they may know.

Once at a certain level clearances are still "active" even though the background investigation might not be current. I'd be surprised if Comey's wasn't still active even though he was fired.

I fail to see the contradiction. We don't think the Trumps should be running and profitting from their private businesses while they're in office (there are obvious conflict of interest concerns), and we find it funny as s**t when their family businesses fail because their daddy has made the Trump name so toxic.

And don't cry for Ivanka. I seriously doubt she would have ever been taken seriously in fashion if not for daddy.

Easy, it's quite possible that the Trumps' businesses get money from SOME people because they are trying to curry favor with him, but his name is so toxic that the vast majority of OTHER people who had previously had no issue with staying at a Trump property, buying a Trump bag, etc., now want nothing to do with him so the Trump businesses start to suffer or, in the case of Ivanka's, go out of business.

He caught Melania with a different news source. To him that's probably a greater betrayal than his whole Stormy scandal. I'm guessing she even sneaks in a little CNN in that separate hotel room.

Seems to me it cost him at least $100K every time just to get laid. And I'll bet Melania is glad he is screwing anything but her. She's probably got one of her SS guys keeping her happy.
