He hasn't surpassed our leading rusher in program history yet but he belongs in Canton? I'd take a step back.
"Name anybody, Ill take Kamara.
CBS Sports' Gary Danielson calls Alvin Kamara the best RB in the SEC
Nice to see this kid finally getting some attention. I love having Hurd, but can only wonder what kind of year AK would be having if he were the feature back.
Hurd on the right team in the NFL will be a hall of famer (Say, a Cowboys type team that runs that style)
Kamara on even a bad team will be an all NFL type player multiple years. On a team built for him or that builds around him (Something a guy like Belichik or any high spread offense would do) he's probably the best multipurpose back since LT. He won't be that good, but his talent comes once every ten years or so. Hurd's is just as rare, but easier to do on the next level.
Kamara and Hurd's touches should be evenly split. I like the idea of having Kamara on 1st and 2nd downs and using Hurd on 3rd downs, short yardage, and goal line situations.
Of course, can't forget John Kelly. I love this trio of backs we have!
