Alvin Kamara as a top 10 pick? At least one mock draft says YES.

I was actually hyping up TK in the lead up to the 2015 season. I was one of many people advocating that he should start ahead of McNeil and Randolph at safety. It was during the 2015 that I lost favor in TK. He started looking out of shape during the season and wasn't as good as I hoped. Then in the off-season before the 2016 I thought he was getting in better shape so I hopped back on his bandwagon only to be disappointed during the season once again with how out of shape Kelly was.

I've always been a huge fan of TK's insticts. He got an amazing nose for being always around the football. But he needs to realize that he needs to be in shape to perform at a high level. He needs to lose weight and tone up his body.

Well now we've got you admitting that you were a little wrong one time. Baby steps.

Maybe one day when you become an adult you'll be able to fully admit when you were wrong about something.

No, you called him fat in 2015 and then declared he'd be great in 2016 after you saw a pic of him seemingly trimmed down.

Stop re-writing mistakes.

Your right. I was getting the off-season and regular season mixed up.

I started calling TK fat during the 2015 regular season. However, I was a big fan of his during the off-season in 2015. Remember I advocated for him to start ahead of McNeil and Randolph that entire summer. TK just disappointed me with his weight gain when I saw how unexplosive he was during the regular season.

Then in the 2016 off-season I was hopeful he would get back in shape and have a monster 2016 season. Only to be disappointed once again.

That's why this year I'm not gonna get fooled again by TK. I'm all in on Abernathy and Warrior being our starting safeties and TK being put on the bench.

Conner seems like a great guy and has an amazing story.

I sure hope he winds up better off than the RB you declared #2 last year.

Conner will be much better than anybody from the 2016 RB class not named Ezekiel Elliott. This year's RB class is much stronger than last year. That's the main reason I had Kelvin Taylor rated as my #2 RB prospect. Last year's RB class after Elliott was incredibly weak. Especially your boy Derrick Henry.

It's only been one season. When Kelvin gets his shot he will surpass Henry with ease.

And once again last year's class was weak. For reference sake, if Kelvin Taylor was part of the 2017 RB class, he wouldn't be in my top 7-8 RB prospects. That's how much better the 2017 class is than the 2016 class.

And BTW I still stand by my prediction that Kelvin Taylor will ultimately prove to be the better NFL RB than Derrick Henry. Just give it more than one year.

He has had a shot. His shot has resulted in not making a roster.

If Taylor fails to make a squad this year, will you admit to an absolutely terrible prediction, or will it be a situation where all 32 NFL teams are wrong?

Alvin arrived on campus approximately 2 years ago. So I don't get where you say I've been saying for 2 years Jalen is better than him. I said in 2015 Jalen was better. And I stand by that.

My opinion on Alvin changed in 2016 after he transformed his body and became more explosive. Just as my opinion changed with Micah Abernathy when he changed his body for the better from his freshmen to sophomore year. Just as I changed from being a big fan of Todd Kelly Jr. in 2015 to questioning his body composition in 2016 when he got heavier and less athletic.

If a guy improves from one year to the next I'll change my opinion on him and give him his kudos like I did with Alvin vis-a-vis Hurd and like I did with Micah Abernathy as a sophomore. I will also no longer tout a player like I stopped touting Todd Kelly Jr. in 2016 after he gained all that weight and became slow.

2015 Alvin Kamara would not be a top 5 prospect. 2016 Alvin Kamara is.

Go back and look at his JUCO vids!!

Dude has always been a baller and a gamer. Hurd was all hype!

His JUCO vids were amazing which is why I had high expectations for him going into 2015. However, I left the 2015 disappointed with his play. Don't get me wrong he was good in 2015 I just had higher expectations for him.

Remember he played at 200 lbs when he was at JUCO. I personally think he tried to bulk up too quickly his first year to prepare for SEC play. Probably added a little more bad weight than he wanted. I'm guessing in 2016 he cut that bad weight and added only lean muscle which is why he looked better last year from a physical standpoint.

Alvin Kamara in junior college looked like Gale Sayers. He was incredible.

That's an awesome story. I'm glad to see someone that put in that much work got noticed and is probably making a good chunk of change now doing what he loves.
I agree with everything you said except, if he is a scout... He isn't making bank... Those guys get paid crap... But it's the opportunity for advancement that makes those jobs so attractive.

AK reminds me of Charlie Garner, a little slower, but, similar. The most talented, not even close, Webb owns that title, others are also above AK, including, Cobb, Cheese, Stewart, Stephens, Garner, Lewis, and others I am forgetting.

Alvin Kamara is about to be a 1st round draft in a loaded RB class.

Think about that...
How many of those guys were 1st rounders?

You are incredibly idiotic if you think Derrick Henry is weak...

Wait a minute, I thought a NFL RB is a bust if he doesn't produce elite numbers as a rookie? You called Henry a bust so...I guess we can't give Taylor a shot. I mean, with your permission, we can give him a shot. Your logic is contradictory to your statements.

Here are my top 10 prospects in the 2017 NFL Draft:

1. DE Myles Garrett (Texas A&M)
2. DL Solomon Thomas (Stanford)
3. WR Corey Davis (Western Michigan)
4. CB Cameron Sutton (Tennessee)
5. RB Alvin Kamara (Tennessee)
6. TE David Njoku (Miami)
7. QB Josh Dobbs (Tennessee)
8. CB Ahkello Witherspoon (Colorado)
9. TE Evan Engram (Ole Miss)
10. RB Joe Mixon (Oklahoma) and QB Brad Kaaya (Miami) - tie

I have Alvin Kamara rated as my 5th overall prospect, so if the Bills take him 10th overall it will be a STEAL.

I'm gonna be sick

Todd Kelly Jr. got fat in 2016. Can't believe you are still defending him. Why else do you think there is a movement to move him to LB?

And I never said Kamara added or lost weight. I said he changed his body composition and became more explosive. You can be 215 lbs two years in a row but look significantly different. In 2016 I thought Alvin looked leaner, more defined, and explosive. That's when I finally saw the Marshall Faulk in his game. And I became high on his NFL potential. In 2015 he looked more like Devonta Freeman. I only saw a mid-round prospect.

1. Talk about TKJr potentially being moved to LB, which I seriously doubt happens, has zero to do with him being "fat". Jesus dude. It had much more to do with needing more linebackers in Shoop's system and TKJr's athletic ability/speed which is average for a safety, but would be very good for a OLB. TKJrs strength is run support, not covering WRs.

2. The idea that AK suddenly changed his body composition is your myth and your myth only to explain away why you didn't say two words about him in 2015, but are now praising him for his 2016 year after the fact.

He was the exact same player in2016 that he was in 2015, with the ONLY difference being that the slow, lumbering jumbo back that you loved so much was gone from the team the last half of the season and Kamara finally got his chance to be the man so everybody could see just how good he really is. Plenty fans already knew and had been saying it for over a year.....you weren't one of them.

And don't forget, Andrew Luck is a bust too....the same Andrew Luck that has been named an all-pro, is 43-27 as a starter, has 130+ TD passes/nearly 20,000 tds passing already and has taken his team to the playoffs 3 out of 4 seasons when he was healthy....but Kelvin Taylor, who can barely hang onto a practice squad spot, why he's still great and just waiting to bust out.

Stop it !
A steal at 10?

Joe Mixon might be the best player in the draft... but he likes hitting girls

Myles Garrett may play LB...

Pittsburgh needs a good back up running back. Bell can't stay healthy for a full season and D. Williams is 34 years old.
Would be great if Steelers got Mixon for a cheap price...

I am all for critiquing guys game but unless I am a coach on the staff then don't critique a guys weight and call him fat. 1.) that is hugely disrespectful. 2.) you wouldn't say that if you knew a tenth of what these guys puts themselves through to play SEC football... So let's get that straight now.

I'm just saying have some respect for the kids that represent UT and put a whole lot more on the line then a kid that is at a computer screen talking about how he "watches tape and knows more than any GM in the NFL"... There has to be a line somewhere.
