Alvin Kamara Appreciation Thread (merged)

It wasn’t like that for me. He served a purpose in Butch’s scheme. Play field position for 60 minutes and win with a FG in OT.

That’s too conservative for me. I enjoy power football. Either you get or you don’t. But be creative with the plays.

He was a waste of down in Butch’s “offense” but Hurd would have dominated in pro style

And yet he has only played one season. You're an idiot who thinks he's big s***. There were plenty of people saying he was going to do well. They just didn't say he would be a HOFer because they know the NFL is brutal.

Your hit-or-miss tactics are elementary.

Puhleeze.

They also said Fournette and Cook were better than him. And some even said McCaffrey.

As I keep saying, I'm the only one who truly saw Alvin's talent for what it was because I said UNEQUIVOCALLY he was the best RB in the 2017 draft.

Nobody. And I mean nobody else was saying he was better than Fournette this time last year but me. NOBODY.

So it's about more than saying he would be a Hall of Fame talent in the NFL like Marshall Faulk. I was the only one who said he was the best RB coming out of his draft class. So please stop with this bullcrap yall keep saying about seeing Alvin's talent for it was. No y'all didn't. Y'all slept on him just like the rest of the media.

Don’t stop with just Martin.

Add in Marquez North, Kahlil Mackenzie, Josh Dobbs, Jalen Hurd, Cam Sutton......who are respectively, for the record, not in league, won’t get drafted, on the practice squad, will never play a down of NFLfooball as a running back, and on the practice squad.

Oh yeah, even throw in Ethan Wolf, who D4H is the next great nfl tight end/next Greg Olsen....he won’t be drafted either.

I’d include the full list of collegiate players from all teams who he says are gonna be great nfl players who he’s missed on thus far, but I’m certain Freak doesn’t have enough bandwidth....

You might wanna keep quiet in this thread. You are part of the ignorant masses that had scrubs like Leonard Fournette and Dalvin Cook rated above the great Alvin Kamara.

I'm the only one that said he was the best RB available in the 2017 NFL Draft anywhere on the internet.

And FYI....Dobbs and Sutton will prove me right like Alvin has done very soon. I'm even more confident in the NFL stardom than I was Alvin. Josh Dobbs will be one of the greatest QBs in NFL history. And Cam Sutton will be a long-time shut down corner in the NFL like Eric Allen. Kahlil McKenzie is also gonna be a damn good NFL player.

Let me hear you say again that Leonard Fournette and Dalvin Cook are in the same stratosphere as Alvin.

Hahahahahahahahahaha. Cred? Why do you fail to mention all the wonderful predictions you’ve made that’s earned you the responses you’re getting? Let’s start with, oh I don’t know, maybe “Dobbs for heisman” and go from there! Haha

Butch Jones is the only reason Dobbs never won a heisman.

Once Dobbs starts dominating the NFL the world will see it as well. Just as they're seeing now with what Alvin is doing in the NFL.

He should be thankful he fell to the Saints and not a team like the Browns. He is averaging around the same number of carries per game as he did at Tennessee, main difference in his production is receiving yards. Lets face it Josh Dobbs is no Drew Brees when it comes to throwing the ball, Dobbs running the ball had a lot to do with AK's number of carries.

More like Butch Jones is no Sean Payton. Most of Alvin's passes are screens or short dump offs. Dobbs could easily do that as well. The issue was we didn't use Alvin enough in the pass game. Instead we had him standing on the sideline.

The under-utilization of Alvin Kamara is 100% on Butch Jones.

You’re going to feel really silly when Dobbs is regarded as the greatest QB in history.

Basically.

Alvin is one thing. Everyone is using the excuse of his limited carries for not seeing the Hall of Fame talent that he was.

Once Josh Dobbs is ripping apart the NFL y'all will have no excuse but to recognize my greatness as a talent evaluator.

Dude you just keep making the most insane, illogical predictions I have ever seen.

At this time last year I said Alvin was the next Marshall Faulk and got similar responses. Now y'all are saying he's the next Marshall Faulk as well.

Just wait on it. The Jerry Rice comparisons will come for Corey Davis like the Marshall Faulk comparisons came for Alvin Kamara.

Corey Davis = the next Jerry Rice
Alvin Kamara = the next Marshall Faulk
Myles Garrett = the next Bruce Smith
Josh Dobbs = the next Randall Cunningham
Cam Sutton = the next Eric Allen

Those are the player comps from the 2017 draft I feel most comfortable about.

And I'm still the only one anywhere on the internet that said Alvin Kamara was the #1 RB in the 2017 NFL Draft and the next Marshall Faulk.

You thinking Fournette and Cook were better than Kamara is just as silly as Hurd's mom.

You do know that any and all the success that AK has or will have, has absolutely nothing to do with you right?

I got more cred than anyone here.

I said Alvin was a Hall of Fame NFL player LAST YEAR.

Way before everyone else started jumping on the bandwagon.[/QUOTE

He was a top 5 running back drafted and a 5 star recruit in college , clearly others thought he had value as well. But if you like we can create a fake internet award for your fake internet credibility

Not on passing downs. He did pretty good on passing downs. Give it to him when nobody expected it seemed to work. His yards after contact seemed good.

I agree 100% Butch Jones is no Sean Payton, Jones offense was simple and he never used multiple sets, But teams have to respect Drew Brees throwing the ball down the field and that opens up the screens and short passing game. With Dobbs and Tennessee's offense teams did not respect the down field passing game, hence that makes it very easy to stop the screens and short yardage passing attack. Dobbs being able to run the ball is what made UT's offense go, that's why he took carries away from AK. Again I say he should be glad he fell to the Saints and not a team like the Browns.

I love AK, just like I love all VFL's, but if he's going to start shooting down my Vols and the opportunity given to him to make millions from Vol fan ticket sales, etc., etc., then I promise I'll be as done with him as I am with that awful Arian Foster.

I know he couldn't give a rat's ass what I think, but someday he'll give a lot of thought to what Vol fans think. It's just not too important to him right now. He got a BUNCH out of his time at UT. I'm thinking he might be one of those 'self-promoters'.

Tennessee underutilized him. He's right. He might be making many more millions if he went to a school that actually recognized his talent.

Most times Kamara makes a big play, nearly everyone on the site laments how he was underutilized here.

Then he says it himself, after an incredibly leading question, and he's "ungrateful" and "me-first" and people are turning on him.

I don't get it.

God. Some of you are so silly. The downfield passing game was our strength in 2016. Dobbs was one of the top in the nation when it came to TD passes longer than 20 yards.

Josh Dobbs is a great downfield passer.

Butch Jones incompetence is the sole reason we didn't win more games. Stop trying to blame the players. They will prove themselves in the NFL.

What does that have to do with me being the only one who saw the success coming?

Keep catching feelings that I was the only one that saw the greatness in Alvin that he showing the world right now.

And I expect you'll be even more mad in the next couple of years when Dobbs and Sutton follow suit.

Dude you weren’t the only person who thought Kamara would be successful.

I was the only one who said he would be a SUPERSTAR. I was the only one who said he was better than Fournette and Cook. I was the only one who said he was a future Hall of Famer.

The only one.
