Bull is programs like Michigan, Notre Dame and VA Tech getting into major bowl games with multiple losses, without winning their own division and not beating anyone of note. The teams don't deserve to be there, but the bowls want sizable, monied fan bases from northern cities.
THat's because of their preseason rankings and the lovefest of Boise State. If Michigan and Boise played in the sugar, Michigan would beat them.
Purely speculative, but the money would be on Boise
And not sure how you can cite the love fest for them. Michigan is there, they are not. Ticket sales is the sole reason, has nothing to do with football.
You're a Michigan homer, so I don't blame you. And I HATE Boise. Their fans are the worst. This whole situation with Boise and KState getting jobbed is just another piece of evidence that bowls have nothing to do with football and everything to do with money.
Boise knows what they have to do. Win every game (and rightfully so). And I was talking about the media lovefest with Boise.
They didn't do that. Whether it's fair or not (and it is), they play a lame ass schedule, and play in the Mountain West (which isn't as strong as last year anyways). They loss. That's how it goes.
