He is a very good guy. A friend of mine.

I'm a huge fan and my daughter is as well... We have watched a ton of his videos showing her how to play relentless like iverson as a shorter player.... She wears iverson pic socks in her basketball games. She really wanted to go to basketball event and see AI but had a tourney of her own to play.

Great to have options...even if you have no intention of using them. :wink2:

He averaged 6.2 APG with most of it being played at 2 guard.....that's more than Jordan, Kobe and would have been tied at number 14 among league leaders this season.... Yes he shot a lot bc he was one of the most dominant scorers of all time

WTH ever..... He dominated for the sixers especially with their lack of ever giving him much talent to ever play with.

Had talent at Georgetown. Same get out of the way and watch me score approach. Ever wonder why in his later seasons with Denver and Detroit that he couldn't mesh with better talent? Not even when he was asked to simply be instant offense OFF THE BENCH? Simple, he needed to start AND be the man. That mentality was part of what made him great...and part of what made him unsuitable to playing with other talent. When Larry Brown finally recognized and embraced that fact, the Sixers had their best seasons. When Chris Ford tried to diversify the offense and (EGAD!) even contemplated using him off the bench? Team imploded. He could have played for several more years but couldn't fit on any team that didn't exclusively feature him. When he quit mid season on both Memphis and Philly due to mysterious "family illnesses", he cost himself some earning. Gotta acknowledge his greatness...others need to do the same with his limitations.

"Two guard" who still dominated the dribble somewhere around midcourt. When you have the ball 92% of the time, a pass out of a double team could get you a few assists. As much as he dominated possessions, he was capable of double figures in assists. Michael Jordan was accused of being a dominant scorer. Under Larry Brown in that Philly offense, I'm confident both he and Kobe could've bested 6 a game. Luckily both had Phil Jackson and settled for 6+ championships.

He had talent some talent at Georgetown but he also led them with 25 ppg 4.8 APG while shooting 48% from the field... He led them to the big east championship and they lost in the big east championship to 32-3 uconn... They made it to the east final while losing to number one seed umass...sounds like he kicked some major a$$ while falling a couple games short of national championship..... When he went to Denver and especially Detroit he was far from the player he was when he played in philly.... That would be like criticizing Jordan for his time with the Wizards....... He tried two comebacks with Memphis and philly but his body just wasn't able to do it... He had a hard time letting go like many star athletes do.

Kobe possibly could have... I think Kobe is a great player.... Phil Jackson is a good/great coach but those teams he coached were loaded..... In that 2001 championship if shaq hadn't been there then AI would have spanked Kobe all over that court.

Not sure which you are asking about but if regards the controversy between AI and Larry Brown.... I would side with Larry bc AI needed to respect his coach more.

He should have averaged double figure assists on the Larry Brown coached team? While passing to Eric Snow, George Lynch, Ty Hill, Matt Geiger and company? Lol GTHO Kobe would have gotten 6 APG with that team even though he only got 6APG 3 times in his career twice while he was broken down and had to and zero times with Shaq? MJ broke 6 assists 3 times also, and never without Scottie and Ho Grant. They wouldn't have gotten 6APG with that scrubby ass team, both would have shot it 25+ times a game just like AI

He could still score in those last few seasons was my point. Wasn't asking him to be the Answer redux...actually that was the problem. He couldn't NOT be the Answer. Jordan wasn't Jordan with Washington...but he didn't try to be. He tailored his game to what he COULD do for the team and was productive (including a 50 point game). I'd even cite the example of Wilt Chamberlain. When he couldn't be Wilt anymore he was a reasonable facsimile and got a championship for his troubles. No mysterious family illness when he had to defer to Gail Goodrich and Jerry West scoring wise. Concentrated on leading the NBA in rebounding and helped win the 72 title. Iverson could have won the Sixth Man award for a contender...would've involved "comin off da bench" tho.
