All things STOCKS

I don’t get why people keep bidding up those shares. The Garcia’s seem like crooks. There are very few actual dealerships relative to the market cap. They have some fancy glass, car vending machines.
I've heard several people say "I can't figure out exactly how they make money," which is exactly what people said about Enron. Little Garcia said on CNBC after their last earnings call that it hard to explain how they make money and didn't want to bore their viewers. Big Garcia, of course, is a convicted criminal.

This is 100% anecdotal so I don't have any takeaways from it, but I also don't know a single person who has bought a car there.

Anyone use Webull or Tastytrade?
Webull is giving $3125 for a $250k new account.
Tasty trade is givng $2000 for $100k new account. Wife and I could each open 100k individual accounts and receive $4000.
Robinhood is offering 2% for a IRA transfer. (That doesn't sound right to me. I didn't think you could do that with retirement accounts. We have no earned income.)
What’s the timeline you have to maintain the account to keep the incentive? Assuming you can’t open the account, get the bonus, then close the account in a short turnaround.

Is anybody having issues with online brokers today? I’m getting all sorts of error and unavailable data messages on multiple platforms (all iPhone).

We've discussed Buffett in this thread a couple of time. Check this out:

I have seen one "Carvana" tag on the front of a car. When I saw it I thought, "Never seen that before".

Dang. Sold ANET, made a really good lick. Bought back too early. Will start buying more when I see it regain some toward momentum.

PLTR looks oversold to me. Not that it’s an inexpensive stock. But $125 to $85 in a week is over done. They shouldn’t be getting punished due to DOGE. They actually create a more efficient approach to government spending.

I guess the run up to $125 was overdone as well. But the LT prospects justify a rich valuation.

SMCI, Super Micro Computer: Down 11.75% today and up 22% after hours. Filed their reports just in the nick of time.
I'm gonna sell about 75% of my stock.
It's not for the faint hearted.

BDO blasted their intenal controls especially around revenue and inventory.

Did not give opinion on prior years

Over $1B of GAAP income but over $2B of operating loss (mostly related to inventories)

Nvidia $NVDA reports Q4 FY25 earnings:
- EPS of $0.89 vs. estimates of $0.85
- Revenue of $39.3b vs. estimates of $38b
Another beat by Huang & co.

He’s on CNBC at 7pm. I doubt if he’d have it on his calendar if the outlook was meh.

Traders have no idea how to price the shares. Down 3%. Up 2%.
