All things STOCKS

So a few solid leverage plays seems to be USFD, CHWY, and GOLD. My only reservations are GOLD was about $6-7 while a Dem was in office, so I’d definitely dump before November to be on the safe side. CHWY is new, but my wife really likes it. Any thoughts on this? To me, it could go to $20 or it could go to $100. I really can’t tell. USFD feels safe. I sold mine last week, but I’m always watching to jump back in.

GOLD was also in the $50s with the same Dem in office. It looks like the greater correlation would be it's relationship to the VIX and to overall market uncertainty. GOLD ran hard while equities bottomed in early 2009. By 2011, the economy was finding some stability (albeit muted stability) and GOLD started to roll over. Now it seems to be back in favor while there is again a great deal of uncertainty with the broader economy. I don't own it directly, but I do have some exposure to it through GDX which I do own along with GLD.

Xeris Pharmaceuticals (XERS) signed a 4M contract with the government today. Hasn't really hit the news yet but it jumped .32 cents in AH about 5:30. Offering closed June 24 and they just released this morning the first autoinjector for sever Hypoglycemia. Going to swing it through PM and see how it's doing.

So I bought on a good support line yesterday when I posted this, or I thought. I'm sure it's getting shorted but it dropped and closed at $12.85 yesterday. Today it drops all the way to $11.75 and closed at $12.00. At 8 AH close it was at $15.60. 😂

When the merger happens each share will turn in to 1.42 shares.
Seen this plan while reading about it yesterday.

Mine are going to be a mess. 118 pages of day trades, sold a property that I inherited, put that money on a new house for myself, started renting my old house, small business owner, had a 2nd child, bugggghhh...🤦🏼‍♂️

14 days to fund you a 2019 Roth IRA..JK

How long did you have the inherited house? If not too long, your basis should be the value of the house as the date of death so gains should be limited.

Regarding small business, were there any restrictions placed on you by Myrtle Beach? If so, you might qualify for Employee Retention Credit in 2020 if you had any employees.

I’m in heavy. Pretty sure the merger is tomorrow, so you’ll get 1.4 shares for ever share u have. My plan is to sell whenever the new shares get distributed to me, then add back whenever there’s the eventual dip. This is a great mid to longterm stock to have IMO. The NFL is stronger than the Kung Flu.

Whoa.. what? You don't have to list your trades line by line.. you can combine them onto 1 line. Also, especially with the part about being the SB owner I think it might be time to find a CPA. Might cost you 500-1k, but the peace of mind is nice.

I read if you own before the merger you won't be able to buy or sell it for two days per the SEC.

I have no idea, just what I read.

Yeaaaa I’ve done it all myself for the last 8 or 9 years, but it’s definitely time.
