Not that I know of, just a lot of illegal recruiting tactics, the whole vol hostess ordeal, and other unethical off field issues. I haven't heard everything but I believe we will eventually since all infractions will imposed on USC and not us.

Did all of you read the statement Josh McNeil released about Lane being a snake and completely disrespecting UT traditions?

I have no idea why he would decline the job offer. I would take a HC job at UT today over waiting for x amount of years for UTjr. It makes it worse he just signed an extension till 2016 iirc

I'm gonna side with Joe Schad on this one. I think Muschamp knows some rough financial parameters that would be available, should he decide to accept an offer. It's only good PR spin for Texas to make a statement that "he's happy at Texas" blah blah blah. We should know where he stands by lunchtime.

IDK that a formal offer has been made, or formal discussions entered into. IMO, he's been handed a "napkin" that has some numbers on it, or something to that effect.

I think he would keep most if not all of Kiffins staff, though I don't know what connections or friends the Champ has. But this staff has proven it can coach, has relationships with the current recruiting staff and is very talented in itself. They're all proven guys. Probable changes on the defensive side though.

hey everybody I currently attend Texas and I have been reading yall's boards for past few days and thought I would join in on the Muschamp discussion.I do not mean to cause problems so no attacking please. I absolutely love Muschamp and do not want to see him leave by any means since he is a huge factor in our new recruits/future good seasons. When do yall have a press conference set up tomorrow? Is anything specific stated about what it will be about?

I disagree. I haven't liked all the changes that Hamilton has made, but the landscape of college athletics is quickly changing and Hamilton is keepins us in the game. Trying atleast. Anyone could see it was time for Fulmer to go, I have had players tell me the same thing. They like him, he is a good guy, a good coach, but it was time for a change. We'll know if Hamilton was a good AD in 5-10yrs.

The only thing he has done is use a firm twice. It worked once, sort of if you count pearl as a complete slam dunk. The second time it did not work. I like Pear and where are BBAll program is going but there sure has been many issues, more than i have ever seen. We are starting to look Miami look like Saints.

haha It's not that bad yet. 1 off-field incident. Heed the words of Kippy, we'll be ok. This is for the best. And Pearl isn't a saint. He cheated on his wife with a 24yr old, knocked her up, and dragged her to UTK because she is insanely hot. He has off-court issues as well. We are a bit spoiled, home-grown talent like Majors, Fulmer in his prime, and Summit are not the norm in the college athletics business. And the felony gun charges of Pearls players are far worse than dumbass Nuke.
Don't forget Todd Raleigh, our baseball team is starting to look good also.

Press releases mean nothing. A coaches word means nothing. Fact is no one is gonna know for sure what's going on in WM's mind except him. Show him the $$$...!

All i can say is the last two day have been interesting now. What have we done if none of this would of happened?? I would guess alot of people would of slept

No "official" release has been scheduled, but I feel comfortable with what I've been reading and hearing around Knoxville that WM will be the new HC here. Take that for what it's worth, but I would say tomorrow Mack is going to be looking for a new DC.

You know, I am starting to think that Monte is trying to babysit Lane. All you here from people who know the Kiffins is how great Monte is and what a jerk Lane is. It was Monte that called the Sports Animal to try to explain things. I think he feels like he needs to be with him to protect him or something. It's like he trys extra hard to be nice, because he knows Lane is not going to be nice. Just my opinion.
