In junior high school I loved me some Kiss. The cow bell in Dr. Love was awesome. I want you was my love song to Bobby Ann Mason that I sat behind in class. Do you love me was hers to me and it came with a note that said to check yes or no. I'd sit there in that old blue chair and wish we weren't so young and dream of being sixteen and taking her out behind the cornfields where the woods got heavy and dribble off her Bobby brooks and let me do what I please.
Those were the days.
I want you - Kiss1. Calling Dr Love (KISS)
2. Bobby Ann Mason (Rick Trevino)
3. Do You Love Me (Contours)
4. Check Yes or No (George Strait)
5. Old Blue Chair (Kenny Chesney)
6. Out past… got heavy (lyric from Night Moves/Bob Seger)
7. Dribble of those Bobby Brooks (line from Jack and Diane/Mellencamp)
I don’t know the other four, but I’m guessing I’m just not connecting “wish we weren’t so young” and “dream of being sixteen”

I do like his really early stuff: grandpa told me so, when I close my eyes, tin man, his cover of back where I come from, me and you, that’s why I’m here, and a few others. Basically all the stuff from the 90s.I like Kenny Chesney. Young, I go back, Somewhere with you, Woman with you, Pirate flag...the acoustic version of old blue Chair is one of my favorites.
