I stopped by a spot that just opened for some pizza. It was taking a long time, so they brought me a free salad.

I like salad fine, but come on, know your audience.

If you were already drinking wine, maybe they thought it would be best to give you some food.

If you weren't already drinking, the free glass they would have given you would have been from a box or jug and given you a headache.

I know they thought food was the way to go since I had been waiting for an hour. I was at the bar so I could see what they were pouring.

Funny thing, I ordered an inexpensive Chianti - no fava beans included - but they poured another Italian wine that was more expensive because they were confused.

When me and my partner nought the Lighthouse we acquired a bottle that was just under half full. If not for that I'm not sure I would have ever tasted it.
