The point is that nobody knows. And to keep throwing around the 50k number as authoritative has no more legitimacy than my much lower estimate.
The thing I find interesting is that I started hearing the 50k claim within about a month of October 7 and the exact same number is still being thrown around almost two years later. So either a) the IDF has been extraordinarily careful to have not added any new casualties in the intervening months or b) 50k was from the beginning, and continues to remain, a number pulled out of thin air and chosen for its propaganda value.
Or do you have another option?

Who said 50K in November 2023? Israel has been using the Gaza Health Ministry's numbers and every indication is that the death toll is likely higher than estimated. If you have zero information that points to a different number then it's a useless and obnoxious exercise to say every number is the wrong number. Said differently, if you "don't know" then stfu about it

We know the death toll is at least 58,400, with tens of thousands more missing. The only thing we don't know is how much higher than that the real number is. Making up conspiracy theories about a death toll is reprehensible

Dec 2023 highest number deported was 30k ish

June 2024 highest reported was 64k

Either the numbers are fudged or the IDF brought people back to Life

You know that's wrong. Over 500,000 have been killed. More than a million injured or displaced. Israeli defense forces are ordered and comply with opening fire on gazans seeking aid. Starving Gaza citizens are willing to risk death in order to find food. This is murder and you know it.
