Albany DE Jared Verse (transfer - FSU commit)

Unless the defense improves and we can replenish WR production, I see us going 1-2 in those games.
well, like i said, we're to the point where Tennessee is probably able to worry more about what Tennessee can do for itself, vs. wondering about the quality of the opponents on the schedule for everyone outside GA and AL.

i think it's a given we have to get better. especially on defense.

if we don't, then.................................probably won't be very good.

I think we will learn a lot about our team @ USC
i think it's interesting where they fall on the schedule, and we close next year with two road games against teams that a lot of people think we could'/should beat.

i kind of agree with you. i think that game winds up being a pretty big one, one way or the other, for both teams.

Idk. Depends on the schedule. I’m not sure there were any great teams in the SEC this year outside of Alabama and Georgia. Clemson played Georgia closer than anyone.

Miss State got shellacked by TTU. Kentucky scraped by Iowa. Wake Forest was pretty good this year. Florida was garbage and lost to a G5.

Personally, I don’t think the gap between the SEC and everyone else is anywhere near as large as it used to be. It’s an extremely top heavy conference.
And yet...in the draft the difference will once again be huge. Bowl record means nearly nothing this year for a ton of valid reasons.

Every week in the SEC..well outside of Vandy..you are playing teams more talented than anywhere else as a whole...I said as a whole so don't bring up Clemson and OSU..

Tennessee had to play the 2 best teams in the west and the ACC champion, on top of its East schedule. That’s nothing to “capitalize” on. More like “survive.”

Pitt will be down from this year, LSU next year won’t be close to what Ole Miss was this year, and the Florida team we play won’t be the same as the early season 2021 team that nearly beat Bama. Those are all 2021 losses that should become 2022 wins. As for 2021 wins, I don’t see any of them becoming losses. Kentucky will drop off some. Missouri, no, South Carolina, doubtful.
Injuries...a lot of that is true if we can stay healthy...but significant injuries could badly derail the season. If Hooker goes down we are toast...if Banks goes down...we are toast...etc etc etc. This team is going to be super thin at a multitude of spots.

Obligatory: With Baron back, does that mean we lost out on Verse? I'll hang up and listen. Debate. Discuss.
This is exactly what it means, I heard from a friend, that knows someone in the local Harris Teeter that has a cousin that knows someone in the AD department that Verse called Tyler and told him he can withdraw from the portal now.

I know it’s a very big decision for the kid, but I am just so curious to know what’s left that he needs to know to make his decision. All of this waiting just makes me feel like it’s someone not currently thought to be in the picture as others have stated. Just a lot of waiting.

Still think Baron is adding weight and moving inside. He is a run stopper not a rush end. Harrison and Young are our better ends to rush and actually be athletically able to drop back in coverage on occasion.

I don’t think inside, but to the strong side DE.
