Yeah it does matter when the other guy is holding his leg. Call it offsetting but don't act like the guy just flipped out for no reason.

Or just don't shove him outside of the play.

If the other guy's doing something flag-worthy, he'll get called.

At the very least, he has to know the other team is trying to do anything to cause any of their players to lose their cool for a stupid penalty and be taught to be smart enough not to give into that.

Otherwise, you're risking it.

I'm not defending the ref.

I'm calling the player stupid for letting his emotions get the better of him in a crunch-time situation and doing something like that to cost his team. This was active.


Even I learned while playing in high school never to shove like that or hit back after a play, because it will almost always get called.
