Alabama Rivalry Survives!

Sacrifice, as in human. Fodder, as in canon. Bug, as in windshield. You know, the viles, as in tenessee.

Somethings should never change.

It looks like Bama has it's own William Faulkner. That was genuinely hilarious to read.

I'm very glad that we'll keep playing. While I don't consider yall worthy to be on the same field as us, I do think you are more worthy than any other team in the SEC. That's why this is the only rival board that I'm a member of.

that what we were saying about Alabubba when Tn won 7 in a row.

This is the game that my grandfather cared the most about, my dad cares the most about, I care the most about, and now my son cares the most about. This has been the biggest sporting event of the year in my family for 75 years. If you don't care about keeping the Alabama game because tradition is bunk, then you might as well have some focus groups pick us some new school colors and a new mascot to help recruiting. That game is what college football is all about.

THIS^... and bring it back to the 3rd Saturday in Oct and KEEP IT THERE :banghead2::spank:

Ahhh, I just love those compliments, followed by a quick slap with the back of ones hand.

... and 10 out of 12.

Bammer fans need to read their history and realize, this series is defined by streaks. Sooner or later, we will be on one too.

Glad we are keeping Bama. Now if they only got it right in basketball and put Kentucky as our home / away game instead of Candy and that ugly gym :(

SEC has voted in the 6-1-1 format, keeping one yearly cross division rivalry game intact.

It will stink to not go to Auburn or LSU or have them come to Neyland once every 12 years but it is a sacrifice I am willing to make to keep Bama on our schedule.

Soon we will be back to kicking their Crimson asses!

It's not SEC football without the UT/Bama rivalry

i love when people that never played a down for the Universities get in arguments like this.

Like any of you had to do with winning or losing in any fashion. It's a fun topic to discuss from time to time, but you guys look like little *****es arguing back and forth.
This especially goes to Tusk. You have nothing to do with one win. So sit down and be quiet please.

I forgot about your "Glory Years" in the late 9O's. Ours started 90 + years ago and and is only getting stronger.

932 championships is a lot I know. But might want to read up on UT tradition before you make a fool of yourself.

Oh wait, too late.

This Bama fan is an old "geezer" who remembers the times when there was more respect and less rancor between teams, especially between UA and the real UT.

The series has been one of cycles, we win X in a row, then you win X in a row. Also periods when it was give and take. The thing I've always liked (until recently on both sides) - there were no excuses for losing - "We just got outplayed (or out-coached) - but we will get you next time."

Tennessee was the measuring stick for the season. I expect that to be true again shortly. After all------those cycles!!!!!

Most important Record: Alabama football does not have a losing record to any team in the sec. I believe ut has a losing record to ua, au, fl,and ga? As far as streaks Alabama holds the longest streak of wins over ut.

What started 90 years ago? Your program cheating and being endlessly on probation.

By the way, Alabama is a hell hole that i wouldnt send my worst enemy to live.

Anyways, i wish the two teams would start wearing their orange and crimson jerseys for this game. That rule is outdated.

Don't think hell has this beautiful white sand and blue water. Heck if I get tired of the beach I can go see some mountains and waterfalls, don't even have to leave the state.

And then at the end of the day you can either climb into bed with your cousin or your fat ass softball pitcher

Yes thank god alabama has that little bit of coastline. Its nice. Also the area North of the Tennessee River is pretty.

As for everything in between.......i cant think of anything with redeeming qualities. Just rundown houses.

I have been to TN , mts are about all you got there, they are pretty. Don't care for all the hill people, and cant understand ther country accents. Nashville is nice, but west of that, you might as well be in Arkansas.
