Friendly reminder that some people legitimately can't work.
Which is a very very very very small % of those claiming welfare. If someone that cannot legitimately work would know that sitting home and just getting a paycheck does not apply to them. Look towards those who claim welfare but sell drugs or those that abuse it a pump out more kids for more money. Those that complain about paying their water bills and have internet, cable, and big flat screen tv. Everyone needs to wake up and fight where your hard earned tax dollars are going to.
I am glad A.J. got a job and once he is cleared if true of being not guilty then I am sure his NFL career would still be a possibility. Blame the media and court systems if his eligibility to ever play in the NFL is revoked.
Nope. Welfare fraud/medicaid/foodstamp fraud have actually declined under the current administration from ~10% to 3 to 4% of total payouts annually. The estimated percentage of unemployment fraud is less than 2%. These numbers provided by the GAO and private research. Know the facts. Don't just regurgitate the anger from talking heads.
My family counted on food stamps and occasional welfare while my mother was putting herself through graduate school so I have always been a bit touchy on the topic.
Moving on!
I wish Johnson's day in court would arrive for the sake of everyone concerned. I can't imagine having to wait this long to see a resolution.
Guilty or not, I have a certain amount of respect for Johnson for not crawling into a shell and hiding after his life was turned upside down. I hope the young lady involved has the resources to do the same.

Trial date set in Knoxville rape case
Associated Press | March 9, 2015
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Former Tennessee linebacker A.J. Johnson and suspended Tennessee defensive back Michael Williams have pleaded not guilty to aggravated rape charges.
Johnson and Williams were arraigned Monday after being indicted last month by a grand jury. Trial was set for Aug. 24.
Johnson and Williams were suspended from Tennessee's football team in November, one day before Knoxville police named both as subjects of a rape investigation. Johnson has since graduated and completed his eligibility.
Williams lawyer David Eldridge insisted Monday his client is "innocent of the charges and we'll defend them in court." Johnson's lawyer also says his client is not guilty.
I know this shouldn't be the first thing on my mind, but If williams is indeed innocent, the trial date will likely cause him to miss the season or at least camp and a big portion of games.
If he's guilty then he will get what he's due. Would be tough for Mike if he's indeed innocent and still can't play this season.
