AJ Johnson Accused of Sexual Assault

you need to just be quiet until more info comes out because you are having trouble handling the scenarios people are discussing, while you appear to already have them convicted of "rape" because you have posted the word a dozen times. I don't know about anybody else, but I don't like posting that word and wonder why the hell someone would post it so often.

No, that's not what is happening. There is a massive difference in convicting someone of rape on the one hand, and saying that victim blaming and generalizations about all women are insane on the other.

I have no clue what AJ did or didn't do. I am, however, firmly committed to the belief that we should not say that "if it happened, they are partly at fault because they should have known better" or "the one girl went home, and every single woman is obsessively attached to her friends and would never do this, so they must be lying" or "women are vindictive" or "women seek out athletes for sex and money".

I hope you can see this difference.

Ugh. Another amazing generalization about all women, and another post spending more time worrying about the affects on the possible rapist than on the impacts on the life of the person who might have been raped. This thread needs to be nuked.

If your reading comprehension is as bad as your grammar, you shouldn't jump in.

That entire post was qualified by the assumption that the rape accusation was just vindictive.

Such an accusation has the potential to ruin a man's life. And in this case, also one's future in football.

Once again, this is under the assumption there was no rape.

Come on, Mods. This is getting ridiculous again.

And people wonder why the moderator shut the 1st Thread down ????

Having a opinion on something is 1 thing. Just ranting and trying to be cute on a serious issue is crazy.

Let's wait till we know all the details and then most of us can have a serious debate.

GBO

It seems like nobody is bringing up the scenario that maybe she didn't witness the rape. Maybe they were both together at first and she bailed. Which may be another reason she went home.

That would leave two guys and 1 girl. More than likely under the influence of something. Even if she was consensual with one guy, is it still rape when they both force themselves on her? I say yes.

Im not saying that's what happened but seems like a lot of you find it impossible to believe AJ could do this.

Don't rush to any judgement or try and talk yourself into believing a particular motive. One way or the another.

I completely agree with you. And I'm not seeing folks justifying any alleged crimes, there's never any justification. However, one cannot simply jump to the conclusion of guilt against the accused just because the charge has been made. That's repulsive also. And, there are credible elements to this situation, including the actions of the woman who left town, which merit thought and discussion. That discussion in no way minimizes the alleged crime nor paints the victim as having provoked the situation. It's just a discussion.

Apparently you see yourself on a higher moral level than others, including me, and I also find that repulsive.

If the men are guilty, there won't be a debate.

Agreed. We don't know what happened, but people are so desperate to keep AJ on the team that they are willing to assume that the woman must be lying.

What about the theory that she had a relationship on the side with him and he didn't want to leave his real girlfriend for her and she has brought up these allegations against him. If they have had sex many times before this encounter then they have a pattern of consensual sex. In my opinion it would be hard to prove rape. Just curious if she had injuries to prove she was forced ie: bruising of wrist or hands from being held against her will, or any type of injury normally seen with rape victims?

You're very welcome.

As I mentioned in a previous post...IF these girls were taken against their will...IOW...they said NO/STOP....then throw the book at these young men. As football players of a D1 school, I just can't see them having to force themselves on a female to get laid.

Speaking as a female....I KNOW how vindictive girls/women can be. I can see them being 'star struck' by any attention these guys paid them. I can also see them crying 'foul' once they realized they were just the flavor of the day.

RAPE is a serious accusation....and even if there wasn't one here....the damage is already been done to these young men.

Maybe my reading comprehension needs to be checked, but I can't find where she generalizes "all women". Here is what she said.

"Speaking as a female....I KNOW how vindictive girls/women can be"

Maybe I am WAY off, but that does not say "how vindictive all girls/women ARE" She said "can be" as in a smaller segment of a general population have a tendency to do something at certain times.

I'm not trying to defend the accusers or players right now. It's just very tiring reading these posts ad nauseum. If you try to show a different viewpoint, the poster is hammered as sexist...even though at least 2 posters I've seen with these opinions are women themselves.

True, there are always two sides to this though. We don't know if the woman has falsely reported this. Maybe she got mad at the players and decided to report this. But we dont know. We have no idea what happened. It could have happened. I hope it didn't.

I just saw some feminist or feminist supporters on here flaming a guy for saying the females could of been smarter about what they were doing. And I agree. I don't blame them of course, it's not their fault, it's 100% a male's fault in this situation. But telling females to be smarter isn't a bad thing bc there are bad people everywhere and I'm not sure what will change that.

I kind of miss the old FF when we use to attack each other for being sunshine pumpers or nega vols....CBJ lovers or CBJ haters....

The truth will eventually come out. It is better to reserve judgement.

Alleged rape.

Rape kit was obtained early Sunday morning. Warrants were issued and apartments were searched Sunday night. Statements were taken on Sunday and Monday. It's Tuesday afternoon. KPD doesn't have grounds for an arrest(s) or an arrest(s) would have been made.

I seem to recall this was one of the early speculations going around about the Jameis Winston deal too.

Where is Al Sharpton, shouldn't he be on his way to Knoxville to get to the bottom of this.

Why does Al Sharpton need to come to Knoxville? No one in Knoxville has any money to give Al Sharpton. I know you are trying to be an ass because you people think Al Sharpton speaks for ALL black people.

Prior consent to sex does not give consent constantly. Maybe this one time she didn't want to. She can say she wanted to, but then she said she didn't. Once a woman says no, you got to shut it down.
