So many factors we don't know. Maybe she still lives at home and willingly had sex. However when her parents found out she was at a black man's apartment she instantly decided to claim rape so her parents weren't viewing her a certain way. Or maybe she was ok with it until it started to hurt. Then she wanted to stop and the men kept going. Or of course maybe the girls are victims. I for one no matter consider the women at least partial fault. At that time of night at young men's apartment..... what did thy think they were just gonna play Monopoly.

Again, not minimizing this in the least, but while my now 26 yo daughter was in college, if she had been part of/witnessed such an incident, neither me nor her mother would be able to pry her from her friend's side....unless she did not agree with the alleged way that things went down. Everyone's different, but at 53 years old it's pretty much my experience that a woman is not going to leave her friend's side, unless she disagreed with her friend. It's all speculation, but this is a forum and we are allowed/enabled to post respectful opinions on any topic, at least that's my perception.

I will say this if more departments started pressing charges for false reports these type of reports would go down. Being as they are felonies. However I'm usimg "these" in a general term. We still don't know whether the report is true or not.

There is no excuse for a person to be raped. None. Period.

You're also assuming the girl doesn't want to be with her family or other friends over this girl as well.

Way too many moving parts to act like you can deduce that the friend doesn't believe her story or is a sh*tty friend.

Personally, I've been football bat messed up back in the day...and I've 3 BFF's of 37 years. If there had EVER been a situation where I witnessed one of them being harmed, raped, or taken against their will, I'd come up swinging everything I could get my hands on to stop whoever was harming them. And I'd not stop until they were lights out or someone restrained me. And I'd damn sure not hop a plane in less than 48 hours to return to my 'regularly scheduled life.'

At this point, I'm questioning the quality of these girls relationship.

Oh I agree. Something doesn't smell right here. If I had a friend that was assaulted violently, I would want to be with that friend for at least the support.

I agree totally. Afterall they are getting paid well, in terms of tuition, room and board and who knows what else. If they live off campus who is paying for that?

Thanks for your input. Mostly it's us guys on these forums and the feelings of women in this situation are very important.

I'm certainly not offering an assessment that the victim's claim isn't serious, I'm just saying something doesn't hold water here IMO, and at the center of that opinion is the way in which the victim's friend, if she is a friend, handled the situation.

Edit: the feelings/opinions of women on all these topics are always important!

This is disgusting.

It doesn't matter what time of night it is; rape is rape.

So few details have been let out at this point and there are a large number of amateur Sherlock Holmes wannabes on here who have already made up their mind. It's not okay to attack the character of AJ or either girl at this point.

No kidding. This is completely repulsive. Even *IF* the woman had reason to believe that the man wanted sex, that does not commit her to having sex with him when they get there. Going home with him isn't a contract. Unbelievable.

High-profile cases get bumped to the front of the line 100% of the time. If an analyst works on the evidence around the clock and there are standard samples from both guys available, results could be back in a matter of a few days.

So from the most recent report, AJ and Williams both raped one girl and Williams also sexually assaulted her friend too? Did all this happen at the same apartment? What was the one girl doing while they raped her friend for 45 minutes? And why would two guys decide to rape someone with another person in the apartment who could testify to the incident? This all just seems so strange.
