Plus, if Milton was so great, why didn’t he light it up at his previous school? I hope he kicks ass, but let’s see him play a game before crowning him the Heisman.

So Ainge can’t get excited about Milton? He isn’t allowed to think the guy could be ultra talented? Wonder why Joe Burrow didn’t light it up at OSU? Why didn’t Fields light it up at UGA? Not saying Milton is anywhere near those guys but the point is sometimes players switch schools and go into a much better situation.

Besides QB development in the college ranks, Heupel is better than Harbaugh.

Yep this team is loaded. Very excited. can't wait for the UF game. This year is when we start dominating Florida again. I truly believe that.

We have actually beaten them 4 out of the last 5 if you think about it.

Well dang go ahead and name Milton starter so I can get myself up for this season. This QB situation has been really stressful and I am just ready to see it end hopefully it's the last one we have to deal with for awhile. GO VOLS

Not trying to be sarcastic, but what was so stressful about it? My feeling has been that we'll be in very good hands, no matter what. It's not been a matter of if we'll be in good hands as much as whose hands it'll be.

IMHO, a lot of folks harvested themselves some unneeded stress by picking a horse and emotionally betting on it. JMHO

- Milton is the best looking QB he’s ever seen here at TN
- teammates are holding each other accountable and picking each other up
- feels better about depth at all positions…”they all look the part”
- competition is great…players fighting each other then picking each other up
- this is going to be the easiest TN team to root for in his lifetime
- coaches are hard and intense but patient. They’re actually teaching
- he’s tempering his expectations for Milton but when he throws it’s not normal. Every single human out there watches him when he throws
- only concern for Milton is when he throws a 6 yard slant it might go off the WR hands and to the other team
- Milton threw a ball to Hyatt 65 yards in air right in bread basket…the DB had stopped (Willy didn’t like that) because it was so far

- said as he’s learned more he understands why those players transferred to OK…he said Pruitt personally told individuals they were Effing terrible. That’s just one example of the things Pruitt said
- he’s very impressed with how Heupel is building this team up but simultaneously putting more demands on them
- not at 8-4 yet but trending that direction, but regardless they’re doing it all the right way…team is going to be fun to root for

when logic takes a vacation, and emotion steps in.

Ok so a couple of points to add. Burrow left OSU while they were in the playoffs already with a starter. Fields left UGA with Fromm at the helm, also a playoff Qb. But yeah I agree sometimes a change is what is needed. Milton is talented, hes big and athletic. Howitzer for an arm. I hope the dude balls out and wins all the accolades because that means we were pretty good in most cases. Also agree that Heupel has a good track record for developing Qbs. All that said go Vols. Sept.2 is around the corner

Yep you are right, he kept defending Pruitt saying guys I see practices JG gives us the best chance to win. He was so emphatic that I felt JG would turn the corner anytime then Kentucky happened.

Yep, we do and then we worry about stupid things like Dooley leaving us for Georgia or Butch leaving us for Michigan or Pruitt for Bama when Saban retires.

Eternal optimism springs every time we get a new coach!

I think 12-0 is certainly not out of the question, but I believe the SECCG will be a trap game. We'll already be assured of a playoff spot and frankly we may not be as hungry as we should be.

Well, you have told me something I had not heard.

And yet, I've never seen anyone receive the snap with just one hand, and almost always both hands are on the ball while dropping back to pass or on a pitchout, and handoffs might involve either hand. If he had trouble with any of this, whether game or practice ... I could see him getting replaced by somebody else.

You could also add Jalen Hurts, Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and some others I can't think of......Sometimes guys just need to find the right fit for them to shine......Every QB CJH has had have put up numbers the guy knows what he is doing
