Tennessee Vs. Florida, the Matchups

Who’s the Barnett that takes over late in the game and imposes his will on the Florida Offense?

How will they respond to the body blows Florida will throw?

JG and Chaney need to start fast and hit some high percentage confidence passes.

Take the edge plays away early and keep them away for the game

Limit the big plays. The bubble and smoke screens will kill us with Florida speed out wide.

NO MORE BLOWN COVERAGE!

Use those 3 backs to wear on the Florida D

Win the TO and TOP battles

Along the same vein, whether state of mine... ore a lode of talented miners, something must change so we no longer get shafted.
JG needs to fiqure "it" out. I don't think he knows what it is. Step up and lead this offense ! GBO!!

We need DT to have a game like he did against GA and KY last year.

I know Chatt is awful or worse whatever that may be but I’m really interested to see how he responds

Will he build off that game or slide backward to where he was prior to that game

Yes, on paper they are not that much better than us. At least I don't think. Even last year, the only reason that game got out of hand is because of turnovers, most of which were uncaused. We were right there with them in yards gained, we had more first downs, and we had more time of possessions. We just kept shooting ourselves in the foot. The 4 times we have played them previous to that the game has been decided on one score.

But, they clearly have the mental edge. They don't over our coaches. Pruitt has coached against and beaten Mehlen many times. Chaney has owned Grantham's defense many times as well. But our players have to believe they can win. That is the only way to reverse that mentality.
they're 3-0 with w's against 2 p5 teams. we're 1-2 with a loss to GA state and BYU.

on paper, we should get destroyed.

it's "off the paper" match ups that you and i, and others, are looking at as to ways we could sneak out of gainesville with a W.

let's not get it twisted. UF should win this game......for a whole ot of other reasons than "we're cursed" at this point.

Florida has beat us 13 times out of the past 14 years.

Florida has a 7 game home winning streak.

Florida playing at home.

Florida has beaten Tennessee at home every year since 2003.

Tennessee lost to Georgia State at home.

Georgia State lost 57-10 last week v. Western Michigan.

...

And you're picking Tennessee.

We have actually beaten them 4 out of the last 5 if you think about it.

I don't see. They are just as close to being 1-3 as we are to being 3-0. I stand by what I said in my original post. We have some favorable matchups. They have some favorable matchups. We'll see who can take advantage of their matchups the best.

And look. I get it. We lost to GSU. But that game was a fluke game. it happens. We weren't prepared. That's our fault. Do you really think they'd win if we were playing them this Saturday?

It really leaves me speechless at the ways we find to lose to them.I mean BYU even prime example.I thought they played well but UT’d it at the last moment. If we go in knowing we can win and not “hoping”then anything’s possible.I still believe it’s a tall mountain to climb.

almost anything can be justified when the majority of the text is speculation, conjecture, and just opinion.

Won't be close. Fla. 38-24.

Say it ain't so, bro.

On volquest today... corners looking like Bryce, Burrell, Kenneth George, Alonte.. in that order

Alonte hasn’t been good but damn. You don’t throw away a guy who started as true freshmen. Even though it was a forced start due to depth but still. Burrell looks good and Bryce will be back Saturday but alonte is clearly getting weeded out. Does he go back to wr next year? He played with the 2s and 3s a lot last week

George should play at some point

I just don't think JG has the leadership and winning mojo to pull off a win in such a tough environment. I sat Fla by a good bit.

If Florida started the season 1-2, coming off having a 4-8 and 5-7 record, losing to Georgia State and BYU at home and then went on the road to play a ranked Tennessee team, I wonder how many matchups would be rated “edge: Florida”.
