Yes, that is why they all gather in Indianapolis and evaluate "promise".
Look at all the combine monsters that put up unbelievable times in the forty, the reps on bench, get drafted in the first round and fail miserably.
.
Failing miserably is irrelevant then. If you are saying people that put up great combine numbers get drafted early then that proves they are drafting measurable skills, not promise.
That does not translate to success the football field. It's not football skills. Running a 4.3 forty doesn't mean you are a good football player. The speed offers promise that they'll be a good football player. Not that they will be.

You have no clue about what makes a good NFL QB. Ainge has the height, the arm strength and he's an athlete (he was a basketball player after all). We've seen Ainge bail us out in big games this season such as Kentucky and Vandy (accomplishments no other QB in 30 or so years has ever done) and guided us to the SECCG.
Ainge has all of the qualities an NFL team drools over.
He may have the tools but he'll crumple like a piece of notebook paper 1st time he gets touched. He's got the toughness of a 4 year old girl. IMO he won't last a season without injury.....
Maybe I am wrong but he played with a broken finger all year long. The only time he missed significant time was due to a broken collarbone, in which I doubt anyone would be able to play with...I dont understand this criticism.
Ainge is along the lines of Ken Dorsey. If you recall Dorsey did'nt get sacked much either, however I believe he played for a NC against OSU. Dorsey sucked in the NFL.
They are built similarly also, I think Ainge may be a little heavier.
should have said all of them did'nt play offense
Actually looking at Dorsey's senior year numbers they are very comparable. Rag arm and all Dorsey had more longer plays from scrimmage than Ainge. If you want look at Ainge's Jr. season stats and compare them with Dorsey's and you'll see they look similar.
Like I said I'm not comparing the teams only the two qb's. Hard to understand? I know your argument is that you cant compare the two without looking at the team. Well I am. And how can you judge Ainge's arm? A 5 yard pass and a 20 yard floater is not a good measuring stick.
